As someone who's traveled to Waikiki from Phoenix a lot, this guide is Perfect! I've made all the same mistakes (Arboretum closed, Hanauma Bay closed on Mon/Tue, Dole "Garden tour"), so great tips! The descriptions of the hikes are on point too!

Thanks! Haha, I'm glad I'm not alone with my Oahu experiences and am on the same page with other fellow Oahu travelers. Side note: Phoenix seems to have some great places to hike as well. Phoenix Mountains Preserve looks like it would be interesting.

hi there we are traveling there for first time ever this summer (from PHX-also). I am trying to figure out the best tours to take. there are a couple things want to see but the bus tours i keep finding (since i won't have a car) we need bus tours they seem to only stop for short bit at places (15-20 mins) seems like by time you get off bus and get in a line to get into a place it would be time to get back on bus and may miss even getting into some of the places. Like the Byode Temple and Dole Plantation. Do you have any suggestions on what worked best when you were there

Like Waikiki that much we've visited 4 time between 1998- 2017 well worth every minute of the 19 hrs flight time from the uk. We've been to quite a few places around the world and for me it's up there as one of the best. The first comment by Ann Sand, yes it's there but unless it's gone a lot worse over the last 5 year's I didn't think it was as any near as bad as she made out. We've visited all the places in the video and not been disappointed. If I could I would go back tomorrow.🤙🤙

Thanks! I'm glad it helped. I'm not sure of tours that go to ALL of the locations but the 'Go Card Oahu' has a tour that comes pretty close to giving you admission to a lot of the major attractions on Oahu.

How do you get from Waikiki to Kualoa Park as there seems to be no tours that take you out there and drive you back. Not keen on renting a car as we drive on the opposite side of the road here in Australia. Traveling to Hawaii in Dec 2022.

I will not have a car the first few days of my stay in Waikiki. Any chance I can take an uber or lyft to Diamond head in the morning around 8am? Wondering if they will be able to take us to where we need to go or if they have to drop us off further away.

For the Kualoa Ranch, do we need to reserve the Hollywood movie tour bus online before we get there or we can pay in person ?
@marvistatravel74393 жыл бұрын
You can do both. It's best to buy your ticket online because they do sell out for certain time slots. But, yes, you can also buy your tickets in person. There is usually a 15-30 minute line because the ticket counter sells tickets for all the attractions at Kualoa Ranch.

Top thing to do on Oahu...Check out the homeless, see how the people are treated here. Take a nice walk down the streets. Take in the fresh air of human waste. Need some drugs, you won’t have to worry in the Waikiki Honolulu area. The dealers are all over. You can’t find a drug dealer, just ask one of those people screaming on the streets. Keep tight hold on your personal belongings. Lose your ID...Hawaii is one of the worst places to replace a lost/stolen ID.
@Evolve8163 жыл бұрын
So what island would you suggest visiting?
@annesand71573 жыл бұрын
@@Evolve816 Well if you feel your missing something if you don’t visit Hawaii...Go to the Big Island. It’s more old Hawaii. The people are nicer. A lot more beauty to see there. The food is more traditional. Oahu is a tourist trap. The food is more Asian and taste like sodium. If you must come to Oahu stay away from WaikikiHinolulu area. Stay at Ko’olina resorts. The ocean is nicer. The water is cleaner. Do not shop at Ala Moana go to Kahala Mall, more little local shops.

Just caught video. I think that it is time you tell da people the truth. You know, and I know, that one of the last places for the tourists to see is the weight management center at Queen’s Hospital. Why? THE CALORIES!!!!!! The hidden souvenir they take home comes from all the ono foods, snacks and endless treats...Sorry if that disappoints anyone, but I just had to tell the truth....

I completely agree Benson! It's so hard to stay on a strict diet when the food on Oahu is so good.

Thank you very much for the kind words! I really appreciate it. Yeah, unfortunately 1st week of July will most likely be busy. Especially since it will be a long weekend for the 4th of July holiday weekend. As for hotels, in general, any hotel on Kalakaua Ave (in Waikiki) will be really convenient (walking distance to the beach, lots of transportation options, close to good restaurants, etc.). @RelateMusic had some good hotel recommendations.
