Hi these are slotted tungsten beads. Lots of companies sell them I think the ones in the photo are from Hanak competition

Do you have to use jig hooks with euro nyphing?

Hey mate! Good question. Jig hooks work great but tying on standard hooks works just as well. It mostly comes down to personal preference. I have some tied on both.

Which bead sizes do you use for each hook size?

Hi mate, it depends. For example sometimes you need a smaller fly but still a bigger bead, so you would oversize the bead or the opposite may apply for a bigger fly with a small bead

It depends on the river, fish size etc but for most of the fishing here I use 12-18

@@foxjiang3438 I might make another video on dry flies in the future! But I like cdc dries alot. I fish the same nymphs throughout the season, but changing the sizes and weights depending on the situation.
