I think a lot of us have been so hung up on losing the acceleration the original ride had..that we forgot just how intense going this fast is. Not to mention that speed is sustained and you’ll be going backwards. Longer ride time, backwards launch, extra air time, sustained speeds..looks like it’ll be insane. Seeing someone ride this actually got me excited. The fact Tony is speechless at the end says a lot. The first one jolted around a lot as well. Maybe not this much but I can’t imagine it being worse than the jolting on Kingda Ka.

Comparing an actual ride to the POV Cedar Point showed us 8 months ago, it looks like its fairly close as far as height going up the rear spike, and looks like it goes a bit higher the first time up the tophat, may go a bit higher with a fully loaded train

What an amazing ride. I loved the original Top Thrill Dragster with the 0-120, but let me tell you this is a fantastic and wildly fun ride. I've rode it three times so far. Once in the front and two times in the back. Both were amazing but the back is epic since you get to the highest point possible of the spike. Going to be riding again tomorrow. I was skeptical about it at first until riding it despite thinking that the whole concept was cool. But this is well worth the wait!

This looks awesome!! I've never been to Cedar Point so I never got to ride the original Dragster but I have ridden Kingda Ka. This looks like an even more insane ride than the original with that backwards launch. Can't wait to ride it!

Yeah, this was definitely the right move for this coaster. Sure, you no longer get the original's top speed launch from a standstill, but I think the multiple passes with increasing speeds, plus going waaaay up the super tall back spike will be just as exciting. The only issue I see is the very likely horrendous rider throughput. I haven't looked into TT2 much, does it have a dual sliding loading station like Mr. Freeze by any chance?

Is it me or do I see it kinda shaking🧐

Remember when Maverick came out and people thought that was going to be a kiddie ride? And now we know it's pretty intense. I imagine the same will be said about this ride. Notice the guy said "positive g's." Positive G forces make you feel heavier than you already are, which could be quite intense, especially when you are going at speeds up to 120mph. He also says "negative g's." Negative g's, by contrast, make you feel a lot lighter than you already are. Personally, negative g's are more of an intense experience than positive g's. I think we don't like the idea of change: I get it. In a time where it seems like everything is changing, having a classic ride that is not unchanged is quite disorienting. However, remember why Cedar Point is iconic to this day: the amusement park keeps reinventing the wheel. If Cedar Point didn't keep up with the times, we wouldn't have a Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, or a Steel Vengeance. And, say what you will about Millennium Force not being intense-- I actually don't disagree with this criticism-- you cannot deny Millennium Force is still a solid ride. It's smooth. It's tall. It's fast. It's a "long" ride in the good sense of the word. But I'm just a sucker for rides that just want to be pleasurable and fun. Sometimes when you try to break all these stats, it's like the people who designed roller coasters forgot what we like about them: joy and comfort. I have to be quite honest, I rode every major roller coaster at Cedar Point with no issues, but this reminds me of the first time I rode Top Thrill Dragster: I was so nervous to go on it I almost didn't do it. And boy, I'm glad I did it. It was crazier than I expected, but it is one of my favorite memories to this day.

I think its improved. I still think it was dumb not to add 100 ft to the top hat or spike and have the worlds first super coaster. Also who the hell came up with super coaster. Super is not as good as hyper or giga. The obvious name for a coaster over 500ft should be a TeraCoaster follow computer storage mega byte giga byte tera byte.

Looks awesome 🎉🎉🎉 And if you notice, the train is going much farther up the top hat for the rollback, then the haters/naysayers thought! The front car is reaching just below the 5th cross / stability bar of the top hat which is over 200 ft! And on the climb up the reverse spike, the rear car is reaching a lil over 350ft🎉 Bottom line: there is NO Swing launch coaster anywhere reaching these heights or these speeds! This is another record-breaking world class coaster for Cedar Point and all the naysayers and haters should do us all a HUGE favor and don't come to Cedar Point😂
