Crazy that I rode this on August 1st 2021 for the very first time. I got like 6 rides in on it. Never thought it be gone for good 2 weeks later. Literally could not be more grateful I got to ride it.

I was there the day before the accident and rode it four times. It was running what seemed like gold that day; I never would have thought that my fourth and final ride on Top Thrill Dragster that day would be the last one I’d ever have. I remember it sort of feeling eerie when I found out about the accident happening the day after I was there; that flag plate could have flew off at anytime. I am super excited for Top Thrill 2 but the OG will always be missed.

Such an incredible ride, such power. Went to the park the day after the accident, before much information was out - plenty of people were asking if the ride was going to open later in the day. I guess we got our answer. Really glad I was able to ride plenty of times in the years prior. I'm excited for TT2, but that raw power was something I'll forever miss.

Man I'm really gonna miss this thing. I'll probably remember my first ride on it forever. Sucks to see it go but I get why it had to happen and I'm glad the ride is still around in some way.

This ride was the best waiting in line for “deadweight” rides at the end of every night when I worked at cedar point in 2017

I’m so thankful I had such a memorable last ride on TTD. It was on July 26, 2021, and it was the only ride I got that day because I generally never rode Dragster more than once (just didn’t want to deal with the reliability). I got assigned to the front and was treated to a face-melting experience with a hilarious picture to boot. I’m excited for TT2 but I will always miss the original no matter what. Rest in peace, hydraulic launch😔😭.

This was the first time i ever experienced fear on a coaster. I just remember staring at the lights on the top hat and sweating holding on to the bars I never hold on but something about that sound and not knowing when it was going to take off I will miss that long live dragster

I rode it last day of operation. Funny because it was up in the morning and I told my group, “it’s running and it’s literally always down so we need to go ride it now” we rode twice with FLP and didn’t even know what had happened till the ride home as we never walked back that direction

Rest In Peace, Dragster. We’ll miss you. But we will also enjoy your newer form as Top Thrill 2!!!

Man, will I miss that launch. The gut punch alone consistently made me question where to place this in my rankings.

I managed to get to Cedar Point just in time to get 2 rides on this beast. June 28th and 29th of 2021 were the days I went and the absolute gut punch of that launch is impossible to recreate unless you're Kingda Ka. Needless to say I love TTD so much and I'm glad I got the credit just in time... :)

I got my only 2 rides 2 weeks before the ride closed. Both front row one at day one at night. Honestly incredible. Gonna miss it but cant wait to ride TT2

What I'll probably miss most is the nose that deflects a lot of the air away from the riders in the front seat. Now it'll be more like the wind you have to take on Kingda Ka. Not good. I was at Cedar Point on the day of the accident (but didn't find out what happened until days later). I saw it running and was glad it was up. I tend to go counter-clockwise around the park, so I usually ride later in the day. I had no idea I would never ride it in that form again.

RIP... Moment of silence... Last ride was way back in 2014. Had a few opportunies to and am hating myself now that I didn't get that last chance. Big Sad

I actually cannot believe I got on this. 2019 it was closed the entire time during my two days. August 2021 rolls around and my friends and I made a last minute decision to visit the park. It happened to be open on the first day, then closed the entire day the second. I got a single ride on it literally 4 days before it closed forever.

That system was so good! Very sad to see that hydraulic system replaced. Yes it had a lot of downtime but it was definitely worth it. The sounds of the fins dropping and the screaming pulley wheels at the end of the launch system… That just shows you the power of it 💪

I'll miss this version. Nothing compares to the freeing lap-bar only acceleration. And yes I put my hands up every time.

The park has been so quiet the last few years without this ride zooming by every few minutes (or hours, for obvious reasons SuperVinlin).. though I definitely haven't missed that obnoxiously loud engine sound.. 3:24 also eew, Taylor Bibby voice 😝

The day before the accident, I was marathoning it all morning and afternoon. Little did I know that those were my last rides on it🥹😥

I got very lucky to ride this beast of a ride I managed to do this June 12&13 of 2021. Crazy on the filming coincidental timing. But only got to do this twice (one middle and one back) but never got to do front or got a rollback (did witness one while waiting to be dispatched on corkscrew) but man that ride was pure adrenaline despite the laughable ride runtime. My channel partner never got to do this and that’s a bummer but can’t wait for Top Thrill 2 Dillon

Got to ride this multiple times over the years. I went in 2020 and cedar point had a system where you got a ticket to get in line at a certain time due to covid. Went on at my time and then went to get another ticket to ride again later and they let me on without waiting. Essentially rode 2 times in a row!

Great footage! I love how TTD doesn’t shake so wildly on the launch like Kingda Ka does,and doesn’t have over the shoulder restraints. Can’t wait to see how TT2 turns out!

Yo congrants on the baby! My wife and i just had our first kid too and are taking him to Disneyland for christmas. ...because it's somehow our local park in Phoenix 😭 At least until Barbieland opens up next year 💅 Im excited for the Hot Wheels launching Hyper GTX it's gonna have. Its crazy how such a big metro area hasnt had any non-water theme parks really. At least Castles and Coaster's janky-ass coaster pulls 5.5Gs 😂 Strangely enough in comparison, we Arizonans (technically) have 3 ski resorts, which usually operate from November through May. So at least I have going for me.

As a European I’m a bit sad I won’t be able to ever experience Dragster in its original form. I hope Kingda Ka will stay as it is long enough for me to have a chance of riding it. Not gonna lie, I’m pumped for TT2 though and I definitely wish I’ll ride it sometime 🤩 cheers from France, keep on coasternerding Ryan!

Im sorry but this wasn't ever one of my favorite rides in the park. If I went to CP and didn't get on it that day, no big deal as it did NOTHING for me. Too short, DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE WAIT, not reliable, and would MUCH RATHER ride The Blue Streak, Magnum or Millinneum Force. Even as an employee, only rode it for Employee Ride Nights, because that was one of the perks of working there and not having to wait an eternity to ride it. Personally i don't miss it, and am surprised it didn't get torn down after such a serious incident.

My coaster short story.., wanted to run it by ppl who love coasters like me. First I find it crazy that Cedar Fair has an on going issue with the Very manufacturer that gave you the W🌎RLD record twice. I live in Maryland… and though my brother & sister are raised in Solan Ohio. I NEVER heard of a Cedar Point. Over here it was all about Kings, Dominion and Six Flags …Until one night the news reported that its this park out Ohio that Broke the world record for roller coaster height & speed( then they showed the footage) … & My head exploded🤯… my eyes 👀 popped out. I couldn’t believe what I saw. It didn’t look real. Then they said the coaster manufacturers name and it stuck in my head. Intamin help put Cedar point on the Map. Yes Dragster had reliability issues…. But holy shit did the national news media talk about millennium force, and TTD when it first came out. National coverage I don’t think they would’ve gotten without the help of Intamin and its groundbreaking coasters

What are you talking about, the ride is still opening next year with a new addition and three launches. Maybe do a little research before you post video.
