All About Me activities are a great way to get to know children at the start of a new school year, or when working with new children. They also give children the opportunity to talk about themselves and their experiences, which develops their communication and social skills, and helps form relationships with trusted adults like teachers and carers.
Why not use our All About Me fact file sheet to let children show off their favourite things? You could turn it into a display or cut up the different facts to make a fun matching game. Can children match the favourites to their friends or classmates?
Our Likes and Dislikes sorting activity gives children a chance to express their preferences and favourite things. Use the completed sheet as a prompt for some brilliant sentences, or turn it into a speaking and listening activity, with children discussing their favourite and least favourite things.
Finally, our All About Me and My Family Puzzle Pieces are a lovely way for children to talk about their family, and a great opportunity to teach children that families come in all shapes and sizes.
