Norway is by far one of our favourite countries to cruise around. The beautiful landscapes, the snow (depending on the time of year of course!) and the beautiful waterfalls. It truly is one of the most stunning places in the world to cruise.
In this video we take you through some great tips and tricks and then break down some of the best things to do in some of the most popular cruise ports that are visited by most of the the main cruise lines including P&O Cruises, Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Princess Cruises, NCL and many more!

Hi, thanks for the video. Going to Norway on the Celebrity Apex in May. How long did it take you to get to, climb then return to the cruise port from the Aksla Viewpoint in Alesund? My partner and I have an excursion booked in the AM but will be free in the afternoon (ship departs at 4PM).

Hello, so sorry for our delay. We found it pretty quick, I think it must have taken between 5 - 10 minutes to climb but some do it faster, some slower. There are options to get a bus or taxi up and you get the same view either way so if you're worried about time you could opt for that. It is beautiful from up there. The stairs do offer some view points which you wouldn't be able to access otherwise and they have lots of benches and places to sit on the way up which does add to time but also the experience. 😁

Great video. We will be sailing into Hellesylt, Alesund, and Flam. How early do you get up for the sail in hellesylt? Do you see the Seven Sisters Waterfall when sailing in or out?

Amazing, very envious! We’d go back tomorrow if we could! 😂 Hellesylt wise, I’d recommend anytime from 5am-5:30ish. Especially if the weather is favourable. Seven Sisters Wise, I’d check with the cruise line as to whether or not you will be going past it. We were supposed to last time we went but it was cancelled and we went a slightly different way for some reason. We saw the Seven Sisters Waterfall via a RIB excursion (would HIGHLY recommend btw… you get really up close!). Have a fantastic time! 🏔️☀️🥂🚢🥳
