He said that last week along with his other comment. It's a weak argument used when trying to defund foreign aid, NASA, and anything else the person doesn't like. It would be nice if military spending could be reduced and social spending increased by the same amount, but that's not how it works. Whatever decreases we got during Clinton's administration went to reduce the deficit, until Bush came along and increased spending and/or reduced taxes on the rich.

I thought Google was a private company? This has already been litigated. They can exercise full control over user accounts, go read the TOS. I don't like it either. They deleted my first and main account I had since the first year YT existed. No explanation. Could never figure out why. Lost all my uploaded content and all the shows and movies I had purchased. They never responded to emails or appeals.

Finland passing the new border law is not only breaking international law, but also EU law and Finnish constitution. This law enables the complete decline of any refugee applications and a push-back method for the border guards to use. Some major problems with this law are the fact that people can get stuck in the border region if they are not let back in to the other side, and that border officials are put in a situation where they are expected to follow multiple laws in conflict with each other. The law has been heralded as inhuman and unlawful, and in the process of crafting this law, the current government has managed to undermine expert opinions and subvert the traditional law passing processes. This “turn-back law” was passed by the current right wing government with the help of The Finnish Social Democratic Party, with the needed 5/6 majority. Only the Green Party and the Left Alliance resisted the passing of the law with help of some individuals from other parties.
