Top view of 1000 year old Fort in Gwalior 🇮🇳
Gwalior is a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is known for palaces and temples. One of the great places to visit here is the Gwalior Fort, which was built more than 1000 years ago.
I woke up early in the morning around 5 a.m. The weather here is extremely hot, reaching up to 46°C in the afternoon. I started off with a bike ride as it was useful in making multiple stops. I followed up with the Google map to reach the Gwalior Fort and Baija Taal.
I was able to indulge in the local street food as well. Poha (parboiled flattened rice) was delicious to eat, and it cost only 20 rupees per plate. Later, I took the jalebi, which looked like a spiral sweet. Price was 5 rupees per piece. After that, I went to Baija Taal, which is a lake in Gwalior. It is a place for the locals to spend their evening for leisure and fun. I went there in the afternoon, and that's why I couldn't see people around as the temperatures were quite high during afternoon.
