Special mention goes to "Algeria: The War of Independence 1954-1962" for its exploration into asymmetrical warfare and "Pax Penning" for claiming the title of my favorite game of the year so far. Not to overlook the simplicity and elegance found in "Table Battles" and the rich narrative of "Votes for Women", which proves to be an excellent introduction to card-driven games.

I hope your move back to France goes well! Thank you again for the tour you gave me of the Barbican when I came to visit you. I appreciate your comments about Algeria (nearly 25 years old now), and Colonial Twilight. @@HomoLudens1871 I just wish it played better on mobile to make async easier. I've been playing a ton of Pax Pamir and Andean Abyss because of how well Rally The Troops works on mobile.

Thank you for another very fine video. It would be interesting to hear your own review about 'Red Flag Over Paris'--a look at what you believe might be shortcomings in the design, what might be done or might have been done differently, and the like. You will have to work very hard indeed to convince us that there are flaws or areas for major improvement. Hope your move goes well and safely for all concerned.

Cube rails became my gem as well and started to explore this shared incentive mechanic every possible way. I love Northern Pacific from simple systems but Dual Guage is my favorite as well. It's amazing system. I hope to play some games on Rally the Troops with you and definitely love Red Flag over Paris. Can't wait for expansion!

All of Dual Gauge maps are on screentop! I am planning on doing a tecah and play after my move. Northern Pacific is amazing too, I am just frustrated by how big the box is.

@@HomoLudens1871 I am not fan of Detroit map but as it's "on rails" but all others are exceptional. I had no way to buy Northern Pacific so had to substitute with simple print and play version until hopefully release in near future.

I love the Honshu map, would surely use this one for a teach and play, it has a lot of interesting wrinkles.

J’ai adoré Red Flag Over Paris. Je serais très intéressé par ta suggestion d’en faire une critique et de faire un segment sur le processus de critique de jeu. On entend rarement le point de vue d’un designer sur ce sujet.

Really interested to hear more of your thoughts on cube rails and train games. Ride the Rails, Stephenson's Rocket, and Germany Railways are particular favourites of mine but everything in the genre sparks my imagination to some degree...

Hi Fred, you should consider visiting the 18xx convention in Mechelen at the end of May. Really friendly atmosphere and very welcoming to new players

very interesting, I have shelfed quite some games among this top10; chief among the ones I want to finally play is Pax Ren 2nd, I'd love to see a playthrough here, giving there is no Jean Michel Grosjeu tutorial...

I need to check out the expansion of RFoP - my son and I have enjoyed the original game. Also need to check out Pax - have been thinking if a system like that could be used for a game I’d love to see focused on failed peace initiatives between 1914-18.

Maybe I am biased but I would say that it's a pretty good addition to the game. I hope you'll enjoy it. And yes, you need to play some pax games!
