What would you recommend as best under $200 (would be camping in snow, cold and wet conditions)

@@georgy_ all in my opinion: Never use "the best" of . The video shoul show tents for camping OR backpacking, two different usage. You have a clearly defined requirement, perfect. Add some more information for yourself, like how you transport you tent that result in the maxium weight. Packingsize, does it matter? do you need vestibuls and how much space. Snow means aluminium poles (snow, wind etc) Wet: all tents here pitch up inner tent first then you put the fly over. In my opinion an absolute no-go for wet weather. They never pitched a tent up in rain or heavy rain in the videos (noticed?), look for geo-dome tents, depends on how much snow or heavy weather condition. Can you open the door in rain without raining into the tent boddom? Then you will see, you are not under $200 anymore :-( Write down as much requierments you can imagine. And then you have to check all manufacturer. All person I asked have their own preferences and brands they love (Hilleberg is one of these in Europe, fu*** expensive , but ok damn good) SOme are happy with cheap and I mean really cheap around $50-75 for years, I used my 50€ tent over 8 years without any issues. Imagine a triangle, the top edge is price, one down edge is weight the other your choice like space/vestibuls. And the magic begins. I need my tent for offroad motorcycling tours in all conditions. So fast pitch up IN rain. I bought me lately a naturehike because good price, space, weight , packing size(the poles are 2mm thinner than the ones from big brands, the material etc are differnt-> price) good reviews for the money. BUT the fly comes AFTER you pitched it up. So no fun in a day only raining. Do you noticed that most videos compare only pricy tents or sometimes less expensive against the pricy ones? You have in the states brands we never know or can buy in Europe. Oh yes sorry no recommandation only hints to find the way through the jungle. Try one whichs comes your requirement as near as possible as starting point. You have to make compromises. There is NO best tent for all of us, only the tent who fits your personal requirements best (why buythe "best" tent when the color is only signal red but you want to go stealth camping?) And yes I hunt for tents over 20 years and havn´t found THE tent which fits all my needs.

@@georgy_ Sierra designs makes some pretty nice cheaper tents. For under 200 you’re not going to get the amazing tents it’s just the nature of lightweight backpacking but they’re good enough to get you through low wind rain showers. This list is pretty awful though especially for backpacking. Outside the Nemo,hubba Zpacks and big anges they’re all pretty shit
