I feel like in a way this is a sociological horror. Why the are these kids being married off in highschool? why are they so suspiciously joyful about being in the role of a wife when there boys who never indicated that they were guy? Is there partner always just a pet like creature, so are they just picked out to be these creatures carers for life? How much does this marriage require of these children? Where are there parents?

I’m just curious what monsters have on humans if they have the upper hand in choosing who to marry, and what humans gain from this relationship, I doubt that they reproduce. And it seems that it’s normal practice for guys to act as wifes rather than husbands, why marrying a mascot a normal thing in this world!? 😵💫
