I am so proud of being able to speak Yoruba. I don’t think any other language can do praise this type of justice. I need to get my kids to learn Yoruba. It’s 2am here in the UK and I’m flowing anyhow in the spirit. It’s the tones, it’s the ooos and the eees and the aaaas. The way the sounds go they are soulful almost filled with struggle and submission. It’s like a beautiful painting. Different and beautiful in its own way.
