I love loud cars with big engines but I was intrigued by electric technology after having a go in a Tesla Model S, and after seeing the mission e concept at the Frankfurt auto show, those 4 years felt like an eternity. I love the insane torque as well as the thought that when I press the pedal the car just flies effortlessly, instead of belching and grunting with inefficiency. I know this is a radically different idea and approach to performance cars, and no doubt it will take some time before manufacturers figure out what the soul of an electric car is. The soul of an ICE sports car is hard to beat but we are getting there. At least that's what I think.

Well is more of a marketing thing. Porsche entire line of cars have something of a naming scheme when it comes to the term "Turbo". You want the top performing car out of the company, it's going to have "Turbo" badge to the name. You the very best they have to offer, "Turbo S". It's just that if you are thinking Turbo charger, then it's really, really redundant with the Taycan. Porsche isn't, and they treat the Taycan no differently than the rest of it's lineup.
