My point about the Fiesta was just; that as far as i am aware the Fiesta was designed, developed and built by Ford of Europe , who have their headquarters in Köln in Germany. I was deliberately nitpicking his statement because i did not really think it was properly thought through. had he used a Mustang or an F-150 or something like that (Just to stay with Ford in this example), I would not have been able to fault his statement.

@Ken Norcott nope, the car was built by Olsberg MSE (OMSE) in Sweden, he even has it written on his car. The car is homologated under FIA rules for a World Rallycross car (don't confuse with World Rallycar, that one was made by British M-Sport), he even used it for some seasons so it could not have been modified in any way, you can look it up on the FIA site.

There's so much information that UK Top Gear would have pointed out, I'll point out a few mistakes or things that could have been done in this video: -The Audi does *not* have a Lamborghini engine. It's the other way around. -The Ford Fiesta was developed and made in Germany and this particular one was tuned in Sweden -I know this was filmed in 2013, but there are definitely some *actual* American cars that could beat this. Maybe the Viper ACR, Ford GTX1, Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, ect. -Everything is overtly dramatic, I know that's common in American TV shows. But it's making out to be a much bigger deal than it actually is. Which brings me to my next point. -They failed to even mention that the previous record was set by Top Gear UK, and they weren't even trying. They were just dicking around in a large building with an F1 car and they just happened to beat it. And before you say I'm on a band wagon of Brits, let me point out that I'm not even from the same continent. This is just basic fact. I have no problem with you picking this over Top Gear UK, but don't say that we are all getting high on our horses because we aren't.

And wherever you live, it's not like those metal shoe boxes with golf cart motors could even travel a quarter of how fast the average American car is. And the Fiesta is an American car, and it broke the indoor speed record. The Hennessey Venom GT broke the overall land speed record, which is an American car. We've also built the Mustang, Viper, Saleen, Ford GT, etc. Need any more reminders? Summary: America claims the fastest indoor AND outdoor speed records, and have amazing cars for everyone. ;)
