Here's some tips on installing a 3-layer vinyl hood decals. The vehicle used in the demo is a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Mojave.
This particular design features a topographic pattern in gloss black on top of matte black with a orange trim on a 2021 Mojave Gladiator

Did this today and yesterday at work. The orange and black went smooth but the lines are awful. Backing paper sticks to every line even after letting sit and heating with a heat gun.

Sorry to hear about the trouble! There's a few variables with the lines that can cause some frustration, but sometimes if you squeegee on the front and back side of the paper that can help get the lines to lift better. Also, we found that if you flip it over and peel the backer off, instead of trying to lift the pre mask off of the backer, sometimes that can help too. Is it recommended to use soapy water? Or can it be applied dry to expedite the installation time between layers?

It's pretty tricky to get the layers aligned properly without the wet method. If you add about 1/10 isopropyl to water, that can speed up the drying process

Are you ever going to make these in a single layer? I was about to drop 500 bucks on decals for my new diesel till I found out these were multiple layers. I have no interest in trying to line up everything perfectly three times in a row.

We are looking into making a printed version of these, but many of the printers seem to have a dramatically shorter life span than the solid color vinyl, so we're trying to find the best option possible. We will keep you posted on when these might be available! We do offer good support on replacement parts if you do have trouble though and decide to go with this option. @@lbdesignworks461 I will be impatiently waiting for that! Right now I have a white Gladiator, I'm looking to do The Long USA Gladiator long Vent Accent color line decal, the Open 1941 USA American flag color line blackout hood decal, the Accent star color line blackout decal for the gas door, the USA Tailgate decal, all with the 4xE blue accent color. On top of that I want to do the 1941 Acrylic Badge for the tailgate, the grill decal on the dash black with silver outline, and lastly a hood graphic in flat black/4xE blue outline that says OVERLAND in the typical Rubicon/Mojave font. I'm ready to do some serious decal stuff, which is why I'm less than thrilled to be doing multiple layers on everything. Hope that makes sense!

@@lbdesignworks461 definitely willing to wait till the end of the year to see what pops up. As you can see it’s not as if I’m spending 20 bucks on a hood sticker, it’s going to be a few hundred dollars in vinyl so I’m willing to wait it out. Sounds like I know where my Christmas bonus is going 😂

How long did it take to install?

Total time was probably about 1.25 hours, but that included dry time. You can break up installation between layers if needed, just make sure everything is clean between layers.

Do you have installers in the Las Vegas area?

Unfortunately, we do not have any installer to recommend in that area. We've had other customers use local tint install companies and even some print shops and wrap companies. You should be able to send them this video, and we're always happy to share any more information if needed. Good luck!
