I saw this movie with my grandfather in 1968 I think it was. We’d go to church Sunday morning, me being 8 years old I would go down to my Sunday school class with Mrs Green. We’d get back home after my Nana would start dinner and popop and I would watch The Bowery Boys with Huntz Hall and Leo Gorcey often saw a movie after dinner and Topped along with movies like Harvey and Bringing Up Baby. I miss my grandma and grandpa still. By the way I like and subscribe hoping you have more B&w classics

A great romantic comedy with an all-star cast. Love this old black and white Topper with my favorite "Good Witch of the North" Billie Burke, the classic Roland Young and Cary Grant and of course, the lovely Constance Bennett. A fun filled ghostly tale worth watching over again. Thanks for the posting. Joe S

I gave up at the total of £728,920,891 (and some cents) in Topper’s year. Have you done the maths? The OP seems to have disappeared (probably had a heart attack after converting to 2023 currency).

What a wonderful and entertaining movie !!! And I'm off to see the second in the series : "Topper Takes a Trip". And then the third. What fun.! This series and the Thin Man series, with that great star of the screen, Asta, are what real comedy is all about. Of course, musn't forget "My Man Godfrey" also with Carol and the guy who played the house detective here .

Yeah, about 5 minutes of no sound close to the end. But it comes back on and you still get to feel good at the end.

That’s not Leo G. Carroll. Carroll played Topper in the TV series, not the movie. That’s Roland Young.
