Obviously how comfortable a topper feels is personal to individuals, so I just wanted to say that I absolutely love Fizz. For me, it’s the most secure topper I’ve worn, so I just don’t understand how it slips around in this review (I have Rene of Paris, Follea and several Ellen Wille, and have tried a couple of JR but returned because there was too much volume). The clips were perfect for me - I have a human hair topper with much smaller clips that I found too tiny, and also toppers with bigger clips that felt bulky. Fizz is right in the middle and for me and it’s perfect. I have frontal fibrosing alopecia so the lace front is a real bonus. I was worried about the side clips as my whole hairline has receded, but they are fine for now and if my hairline recedes further I’ll use wig tape instead. I did have a fringe cut into it, which I think makes a huge difference - I was also misled by the photo with the fringe, but now I’ve done that I love her and would recommend!

Is there a topper you like? I’ve watched several of your topper reviews and haven’t yet seen one that you don’t complain about the clips.

Hi! Lauren's favorite topper is Top Style by Jon Renau, 18” length, synthetic. She has a very sensitive head, so the clips tend to bother her after many hours of wear, but this isn't a common thing and most people don't complain about clip discomfort. The clips shouldn't feel uncomfortable at all.😊

This piece was beautifully made but I had the same issue with the tiny clips. I wished it had large clips like the Jon Renau toppers. And yes, trying to clip into the temple area did not work for me, either. It was not secure at all.

If you use a bit of glue along the lace front you can remove that small clip at the front. One of the best glues is the kind used for dancers to hold transparent shoulder straps in place. Or, tho some might not like the connotation, the kind used to adhere colostomy bags to skin - you can get it at most pharmacies - it is brilliant and is water based and washes out so easily.

I'm so grateful you reviewed this piece. The problem with this topper is the product photo. Take a look at it. It looks nothing like the style a person will receive. It's like they forgot to cut the piece in. Isn't that one reason why a person buys a synthetic piece? Because it's already styled? I love Ellen Wille and their color palette. I wish I saw your review before I purchased Fizz myself. Thank you. Love Patti and your reviews! ❤

This piece does have a layered bang but Lauren has it blended with the rest of the longer face framing pieces, while the stock photo has it styled "messy" so the layers are visible. One of the benefits to synthetic styles is that they come styled so you don't have to restyle them after every wash. They simply airdry back to their "baked-in" style😊 Most people prefer the low maintenance of synthetics.
