Actually I make notes in class only and i write it in using my pen and pencil. But there are some others in class who make their note very beautiful by using highlighter and all colour pen, but when asked some doubt about any previous class concept they struggle to say. I feel understanding a concept is more important than making a beautiful note. Edit : I am never ever offended against making notes more colourful and catchy but people must also understand the concept, because some of my friends struggled but had beautiful note.

Just a tip I wanted to add : you should pay 200% focus during live classes.....you should understand the concept so much better in the class that revision should not be required ( not applicable for chem and conic section in maths, as it has lots of different properties).....theory should not be in your copy, it should be printed in your mind

I use only 2 pens for making notes, black and blue.And I think they are enough for making notes if you write neatly.

I also have the same , but i added red pen also , not to write anything , but to just make a box around important formula / equation. And it really helped me to revise formulas from my notes quickly . As you can differentiate the red pen ink from blue pen ink , and your eyes directly goes on that box .

I did this type of work whenever I got a new copy, pencil. But later I mixed up and lost my energy and scored 55% in pre boards but we had 2 months after pre boards so I studied really hard, didn't write beautifully just wrote for myself to understand the concept and got 73% in boards. I studied really hard, I literally gave up my sleep and food for those 2 months. I used to sleep only 3 hours in 24 hours and my mom used to feed me. Now I am happy that I have improved myself. *Don't waste your precious time on working beautifully on notes and notebooks just make study and concept beautiful.* *Good luck* *_Do whatever you want but finally study hard for your future because no one comes to feed you by their own._*

Notes banane se kuch nhi hota main is problem solving ,lecturenotes never help anybody. When you have to revise then revise with problem solving theory lectures notes never helps. But for inorganic,organic you have to

Like sir said.. don't make messed up notes(like DPP+theory+ class solutions,etc ) in one copy... I used to do this before... But when I realise it's all messed up & not able to revise concepts that I wrote... It's all worthless Than I decided too make a single notebook for notes and make notes with different pens.. and it's worth...

I used to write bio notes and diagrams with 6 different coloured pens in class with heading,common names , botanical, zoological names ,formulae with different colours oral notes😅....was among top 3 in class and entire class absentee used to get it xeroxed before exams...so toppers can write neatly too

My notebooks creteria is somewhat like i hear from sir, I have my fair notes which i at the time make it in class i use 2 3 pens and like that i note some imp points with my language in hinglish at corner sometimes i use another highlighter to mark imp things sir says, Beyond this i have my practise noteboks in which i make notes from 2 pens from lecture i watch online and in additon i do my dpp and module pn that practise notebook, This is a additon i make my final notes which include everything i need to know of every chapter, i prepare them which are exactly according to my need resources i use is from my coaching notes youtube lectures or sime books i made them after 2 3 revesion as my final revesion and they are like my best friends it include everything every type question as in conclusion its my final notes which i make after 2 3 weeks after my completion pf chapter this also hepls me revesise the chaptwr at a final extend... Also i mantain a doubt copy in which i write down my doubts and ask them later to sir...of every sub in one copy

I am not a competitive exam student but I always made sure that I paid attention in class and actually took nice notes (only with blue black red pen) granted my handwriting was also good so it did help but I never understood how people have enough time to rewrite their notes. In biology I didn’t even make a notebook,just annotated in the book using sticky notes or just pasting a small page cause everything is in NCERT only. I marked in the book like FAQ and PYQ and highlighted it. Done. My teacher also scolded me for not making a notebook but I scored good so she shut up. But most importantly, make a separate notebook for practice sheets only. I filled like 3 notebooks for physics and chemistry, full of numericals or conversions. Even if you are not a good note taker, at least concentrate in class. 80% of the studying when you are actively listening to the topic 20% practicing it at home.

As I'm a GATE STUDENT we have 15 subject in mechanical that contains 8 core subjects. There is lots of time consumes to revise class notes also. *So my tip is make fomula note book for each subject separately, write conditions for applying formulas. *Try to solve variety of questions with different concepts linked with that question. *Study the mathematics with Olympiad level.(1 to 12th). *Don't try to memorize just try to apply the concept for each and every questions. *please don't go for tricks this will not help you any way after exam just go for concepts and it's applications. *In revision, push your self towards multi--conceptual problems.(Always practice concept and its application in various fields). Best of luck students.

I will suggest you don't make notes at all. Revision by reading notes is useless. Best way of revision is doing quick flashcards and mcqs. Trust me practicing is the best revision because then you are ACTUALLY recalling the material. And mark the questions you got wrong and see the solution and move on. And at the end SOLVE THOSE QUESTIONS AGAIN because that questions are the weak point you need to be aware of.

@@unknownxavier2608 Bro recalling tabhi krte hein jab ham pehele concept se familiar hote, agar koi zero se start kr rha hein toh uske liye toh material new hein aur tabh lectures dekhte hein to understand the concepts. I suggested this method assuming that the student has attended lectures and understood the material.

@@blanche42 YAA AGREE BROTHER....BUT,I share my opinion kyunki main bhi ek dropper tha iss saal,jaha mereko ache se nhi aata tha pichle saal,so i am able to score max 42 marks from last year,then i joined prayas batch and making notes help me to get 97.877%le this year...on the other hand,mera friend jo bhi drop diya is bar,jisko already 91%le last year....and do your method,by practising lots of question,as he has a good demand in his preparation already,and in the 1st session,he scored 99.12%le....That's why i shared my opinion like this.
