Look the inside of the topping d70.
Nice Print Circuit Board.
Used Nichicon FW caps and BP caps.
not like : used smd parts.

Thank you for posting this video. I need to open mine up so, your guidance on the correct sequence is invaluable. My D70 has stopped powering on. Fuses checked and power cable swapped but, it's still dead. Do you have any thoughts on what might be the likely cause of such a failure? Your expertise would be much appreciated.

Hi, i ' so sad for your . total dead, try to check the voltage on the supply? if there is and the LCD doesn't appear, it's probably from the controller IC located on the front, I forgot the type. check the leg or C supply, if there is current and the IC is HOT? May be from there the problem.

I saw your other video with modified topping D30 + psu. I know that this D70 on a paper should be better. However, the D30 uses the CS4398, that is one od the best delta-sigma dac chip ever made. Therefore, how do you compare the sound of the modified D30 with this D70?

Hi I have the Topping D70. I saw your Topping D30 mod and it was amazing. I am planning to mod my D70 specifically planning to replace the Nichicon FW power cap to Audio note Power cap and replace Nichion muse to Elna RDB bi-polar cap. Would you plan on moding your D70? Do you have any recommendation?

Hi, for FW series suggestions replace the Super Through series on the power supply (3300uf), I have tried but the problem is a large dimension, For your planning replace with AN , it is Kaisei series and not for std. for muses nonpolar cap, it should be replaced with AN kaisei non-polar too. If you have old stock of Black gate caps, it more better than all. Have not choice for another caps.

So, the D50 has a solid aluminum chassis but the upscale D70 doesn't? What's up? Thanks for the vid!

The D70 have include the Power supply on the chassis , and bigger and have large room and weigth than d50. The d70 with the cnc aluminum too and thickness than d50 (compact devices) but it still solid for it.

What about comparing the AK smoothness to mojo? I have a mojo and I am thinking about switching to a better measuring dac such as this D70, but how will sound?

I newbie with the dac of AKM, i can not give resume early about AK 4497, and i was heard the first played nice on mid and good detail and separate wide stage. MOJO was dac + haedphone amp.

I purchased 2 months ago, D70 for me is extremely lacking in bass. I upgraded Opamp 2134 but still its not giving satisfactory results in bass. Do you have any idea to make the bass sounds richer in D70? Please

You may try to replace the nichicon cap on the power supply with the ST / KG series or if you have Blackgate capacitor are very good for low. And other chooses the Audionote kaisei capacitor.

Do you have an after market power cord on it? An upgraded power cord always brings out better bass in my experience.

@@sean_heisler i have not it, i 'm not prefer with the power cord to upgrade the sound. My opinion yg Belden Power Cord ( hospital standart ) are good and enough, do not buy expensive P cord if your have not a good of the PS circuit. P cord cable : multi straind and pure copper and shield some cotton and need a good contact material ( copper)

I have upgraded the power cord to DH labs red waves + Viborg copper plugs. Still Not enough bass. The power cord doesn't work for this D70 topping., thinking about topping D30, or I don't know

In this type of output architecture even if it is a dual dac I would bet that the rca outputs especially with a short cable of good quality delivers a less fatiguing and more realistic sound than the xlr outputs that are not fully balanced but simply dual mono.

Thank you for suggestion it, And I have not yet started for tweacking d70.
