The cows have been out grazing now for about 3 months and as they graze over the same paddocks it is important we stay on top of the grass quality to ensure they’re getting the best out of what they’re eating. In this video we are showing you all about topping the fields, the machines we use and why.

Love the video, MX110 best tractor ever values still going up and that must be one of the last ones made on an 02 plate, you can adjust the striker plate to make opening the bonnet easier ,but hey then we would miss Josie's mad antics lol

Looked like the pupster was the only person concerned about possible broken hand bones lol. You mentioned topping ragwort more than once! Cattle won't touch live ragwort, but topping it means bits of dead stuff lying about to be possibly eaten next time it's grazed- for those that don't know, it's poisonous to livestock even when dead- I always pulled plants out by the roots, long gloved on and put it on a bonfire to burn.

Do love you girls and your Mum and Dad, just loved the way your Dad was laughing his head off at poor old Josies bonnet drama and I love the way most things get made into a completion obviously a family thing. Anyway thank you for sharing.

I dunno... Farmer Tyler grew some whoppers in the Sacramento area! A few years ago he even tried taking a propane burner to them. The funny part was, although not very effective in getting rid of the thistle, once partially burned the cattle found them tasty.
