The first rule of auctions is don't get in a bidding war, all you're doing it making yourself pay more. These app makers are very smart though, adding an extra 10-20 seconds on top of every bid so you can't snipe.

Whatnot has a feature wherein a bidder cannot bid too fast in base of tenth of a second. That is kind of a clever feature! to bid what pops or collectibles you want.

Whatnot auctions are overpriced most of the time, I’ve watched around 20 or so auctions and I find that most of the high pops are way cheaper on eBay or even at your local pop stores.

The most I think I’d ever spend on a pop is roughly $60 or something, the most I’ve payed for a pop is $30/35. $1000 is way too much for me 😅 my most valuable pop is worth $60 and I only payed $12 for it

@@cassidyweathers I just really don’t believe they are worth that much, even though I love them and have around 50 in my collection I just couldn’t pay more than $50 on a single pop, UNLESS it was maybe a 2 pack or a pop ride, maybe then I’d slightly pay a little more but definitely not over $100, $75 at the very most for something like that

Really the only times I spend close to that much is if it is a chase, or something along those lines. I try to look up the pops I want before bidding and see how much is too much. I try to stay under $20 for a single pop. And under $30 for any bigger pop
