This keyboard is available in ivory white for better visibility if the black is not your thing. I am ordering the limited edition tenkeyless tomorrow with the 45g silent switches and will be Ivory. I had one of the original Realforce boards in black with the numpad but actually gave it to a buddy who was getting into keyboards. Topre is amazing.

Update: This guy is 100% right, there's no key wobble at all. In the video, it looks like there's wobble, but there's not. Keys are always firmly in your hands. I ordered this thing just out of curiosity, and it's amazing. My hands went from constant keyboard panic to feeling like they're at home on a keyboard again. If you write for a living - or type - this keyboard does help with fatigue, and your hands feel welcome on the keys. None of the panic feeling you get with some the large, wobbly keys on mechanical gaming keyboards where it feels like you're wrestling just to type. I'm sold on this one, will order from Realforce again for backup boards. If I had to compare Cherry MX red, black, and speed silver switches to this, I'd say that all three of those are like off-roading, and this keyboard is like a Sunday drive. If you want to be comfortable while you type, topre switches are perfect.

Also you cannot feel any friction. Try to push one of its key very slowly and do the same with any other keyboard, the difference is stunning. I bought dozens of keyboards in the past, all sorts of keyboards, my realforce with Topre switches is the best so far… and the most expensive too except for the optimus maximus that I shouldn’t have bought.

@@thomast7748 I loved mine, it's to keyboards what real down pillows are for pillows, just very comfortable and no friction like you said fighting against the typist. I haven't heard of the optimus maximus, was it any good? The only other keyboard I've wanted to try just to experience it again is the old Model F buckling spring keyboards. I don't think I could use one for work though.

Don't want to buy one without trying one. And I reaaaallly want to try one! :) I am a tactile switch enjoyer so this might be right up my alley! The sound is not all that great (at least how I've heard it in many videos) but I am mostly interested in the typing feel anyway.

I've been using my Leopold FC660C over a year now, and I really can't get enough of it. I always come back to it, MX switches just don't feel as good somehow, I'm pretty sure it's due to the superior electrostatic sensing mechanism, and the hysteresis which definitely helps with accuracy. Done a fair bit of modifications to it; the excellent Hasu controller, 3204 lube, sorbothane for the plate and lower case as well as some acoustic foam in there. Did try BKE Lights and Ultra Lights which were really nice, but i think ultimately I prefer the stock 45g domes. Really got used to the feel and weighting now, does take a few weeks at least to really get into the flow if you are only used to using the common styles of mechanical keyboards.

Is the Hasu controller for programability? How useful do you find it, and what effect does the lube have on the switches?
@mitchsussman1372
@mitchsussman1372 4 жыл бұрын
@@sarfaraz.hosseini Yes, the Hasu controller is for programmability. You can use a pretty user-friendly program called QMK to program it. You can use QMK to move the layout around. You can put any key anywhere, so you could change to a Colmak or Dvorak layout, for example, or any layout you want. You could change the position of backspace. You could add layers or media keys. Lots of other stuff, too.

Man, I just spilled beer on mine and it scared me sober. Thankfully, I was able to limit the damage to the . and 0 on the numlock portion of the board. I guess I could stop drinking around it, but then am I really truly *enjoying* it? The price is too damn high for this keyboard, but god is it worth it once you start typing on it. Topre represent!

Can you please give me a suggestion which of these two keyboards I should get either the logitech g513 with the gx blue switches or the bw elite with the new razer green switches? From my point of view I think the gx blue switches sound better but the stability of the new razer green switches is better. The razer's cable is also much more stable than that of the logitech keyboard. But for that logitech WASD has extra gaming buttons. So I wanted to ask you which one you would recommend to me.
@Spearra

If you want hyper stability, buy a Bloody keyboard with LK Libra Oranges. They're smoother then a lot of switches and that's without lube. They're stabilized and smooth enough to the point that lube is irellivent for them.

If someone does break into your house and this is the only thing you can use to defend yourself and your property, a sharp strike from the thinner side of the board, directed at the side of the neck should do the trick, might require multiple strikes if the perp is of a bigger body size. Good luck defending yourself though, you might need it.

Everything fine except the software, which works randomly. Many claims it doesn't start. I personally tried on 3 different Win pro platforms, 7 or 10, eng or localised no matter, it doesn't work. Topre support doesn't exist. Would expect more for the price. And little more. Using swapped ctrl and caps lock, I notice, that ctrl (originally caps lock) is wobbling. This key should have additional support like other longer keys

Love the sound of the Topre switches, but not the price tag of the boards.
@julian23561
@julian23561 5 жыл бұрын
The price can be attributed to the Topre Electro Capacitive switches (which has a reconfigurable actuation point) that is extremely reliable than a Cherry cross-point switch and the quality rubber dome sheet that provides the tactility. If you get top quality BKE domes, that price will be multiplied by as much as 4-5x, but you'll have a better keyfeel. EC switch board are quite the investment and should be an endgame for mech board connoisseurs.

That's the cost of that chonky THONK. @InvidiousIgnoramus
@InvidiousIgnoramus 5 жыл бұрын
@@Spearra they certainly seem to. BKE extremes are pretty amusing to type on, but I would put them just outside of practicality for general use. Considering 55g topre has a bottom out around 65g, I'd call that decidedly middle weight. I personally prefer a bottom out around 70-75g, so stock domes don't do it for me.
@Spearra
@Spearra 5 жыл бұрын
@@InvidiousIgnoramus Personally, I use them to basically turn my Topre Clone keyboard into a "scissor switch feeling" type of deal. Except obviously WAY more tactile. That's feeling being "binary". Either I'm bottoming out or I'm not. I like scissor switches a lot but not many switch designs feel the same. After eventually lining up the BKE Extremes properly, oh ya, it is just what I wanted. My minimum is 70g flat so around Unicomp Buckling Springs. Anything lower and I start messing up epically. But like all things keyboard related, its all preference at the end of the day. What is unusable for me (IE most Cherry MX) might be right up someone else's alley. Btw what's your opinion on BKE Heavies? I definitely understand Extremes are incredible niche, but any thoughts on Heavies, or really the other BKE weightings in general?
@InvidiousIgnoramus
