It looks SO SLOW.... Even players from the 70's hit the ball faster. These Top Spin devs never watch a tennis match. Meanwhile in Tennis Elbow 2013 (or the last one Tennis Elbow 4), you can really hit shots at 80 mph, serves at 140 mph with a realistic average spin per minute (Nadal at 3000+ and so on).

Full ace tennis simulator with fa mod has great animations and gameplay,footwork and graphics are not the best but the most important thing are authentic stroke animations for each player and full ace is the only game that captures it,anyone who plays tennis irl knows that full ace is miles ahead of all the other tennis games

Are you kidding me the character models are shockingly bad some i could not even tell who they were,even Alcaraz model is terrible and the floaty ball movement is nothing like real tennis. AO TENNIS 2 has better player models in the community cafs which i have 400 plus of. The only thing that looks better in Top Spin 2K25 is the crowds have more pixels,this is a major disappointment

@@JuanGarcia-qu6wc AO tennis 2 has better player models in their community cafs which i have 400 plus,also the 2K25 ball movement is way too floaty,the only thing that looks better is the crowd, AO TENNIS 2 has much better ball movement and speed than this huge disappointment

One of the things I liked about the original TS was the multitude of playground courts. That dwindled down to a handful by TS 4. Hope there's more in 2K25.

The best thing so far I liked is that speed is balanced... in recent games, the players were sometimes faster than the ball and even when the ball is going for a winner, players would even return that ball.. It threw me off and I got repulsed... now this seems so much realistic in terms of style,fluidity and speed balance between players and ball..

They finally addressed stupidly slow ball physics from Top Spin 4, although shots still look a bit slow and loopy compared to (for example) Full Ace. The animations look glorious although it sucks that they are generic, the other games have unique strokes for each player

@@Themaskplague am aware; but that doesn’t mean it’s worked. Compare the realism of Federer’s shots here to his shot mechanics from Full Ace, the difference is night and day. I can barely distinguish Fed’s BH mechanics here from a bunch of other one handed backhands, so it’s generic

So on the clay court there are definitely missing details like sand swirling up from the ball or the running movements... I'm hoping for a real career with an official world ranking, points etc., then it can be cool!!

What i love th most abou5 the top soin game is that it looks so grounded. Like i hate how the running mechanics of the players in other games just makes them look like theyre gliding across the ground and not actually running. Top spin has always done a good job of it actually feeling like its feet to pavement running.

I loved Top Spin 4 but some of its mechanics that felt off 14 years ago still look the same now. I'll check this out because tennis games are so rare but I'd be lying if i said i hadn't expected a bigger leap forward after all this time. I hope they already have a plan to deal with online cheaters too!

For me, the best gameplay mechanic has to be from tennis elbow. To those that don't know anything about tennis elbow, here's how the mechanic is like: The accuracy of the shot depends on the players placement behind the ball, how long you're able to "charge" your shot and how aligned the ball is with your racquet. The player's placement behind the ball has to be in the right spot and depends on the balls spin, speed, direction of movement and trajectory. Also, the longer you hold or "charge" your shot, the more power, spin and accuracy you get with your shots, depending on the kind of shot you're going for. You also have to aim your racquet on the ball for maximum shot effectiveness and accuracy. And even if you get everything right, how well the shot gets executed is affected by the player's stats and the terrain you're playing on. E.g. clay courts make topspin shots much more effective and grass courts make slice shot much more difficult to deal with. This makes for a game where you're always thinking on your feet and reactions are truly tested. It allows for the gameplay to be fast like real life live broadcasts, use the court you're on to your advantage and make sure you're doing your part in making sure that the shot comes out as accurate and effective as you want it. It may all seem complicated at first and there is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's the best gameplay mechanic in a tennis game, hands down

@@DSN262 the last time I played it, you simple just go to the net, lol. The player would go from a jog to a sprint so you had to commit to going to the net. Today though, I'm not sure. Perhaps they've added a dedicated sprint button, perhaps they haven't

I'm just hoping we get a good roster fed nadal and djocovich were my favourites on 4 because they had a bit of a different feel than the rest... im happy to get this as long as its got all the players.. i spent hours on top spin 4 and never played a good tennis game since.

I do find the authenticity and accuracy of the grounstrokes animations a bit disappointing. Like Swiatek's and Tiafoe's forehands for example are quite unique but that's not going to be reflected in this. I remember Virtua Tennis 3 being so good for this.

I used to play TS back in the day looking awesome btw and I guess the king is back. Only I don't like the microtransactions to pay for this pay for that even in my NBA2K24 I am having a blast playing the Eras PS5 I don't buy anything. The proper thing for it would be to not have mcro but at least I hope the core game has enough legends and now great players to play and courts and if the transactions are cheap and worth it like new tournaments, grand slams, and players maybe I buy something or two but we will see and thanks for the vid I did not have a clue that we will have a new TS. It looks cool and I'm curious how would the mechanics of the game will feel. It's a shame though that after so many years they didn't bring any exciting innovations. I'm thinking, It would have been cool f.e. if you could change the camera/view of the player

I'm afraid they include the thing which made me stop playing TS4... I played a hard match against a strong player on a big tournament. Next time I played against the same opponent in 1st round of a small tournament...he had no chance. This is a no-go to make the difficulty only dependent on the match and not the stats of the opponent. But let's hope for the best

I don't know for sure as they've onl yshow noff bes to f3 games se tstuff in th etrailers but given that the previous games had 6 gam esets I'sd imagine there's an option fo rthat here as that's how I play too given Tennis matches don' tusually tak etha tlong t oplay a tlesa tin video games. As I' m usually done with a matc hwi thin 20-30 minutes. At least in Topspin 3and 4 I was. Bu tyea hI pla y 3se o r5 set matches too. Depending on whethe rI' mplayin g women's or mens tennis

Hopefully for my career they do it like real life since your player is not top ranked, you only play on bleachers and small courts unless you reach the deeper rounds or rank up obviously

the way the ball bounces is really weird.. Animations looks good though, except for a couple of shots that didn't look like it hit, very weird: 3:27, swing was low but ball was above, no way that would have gone over or should have even registered

Why can no one create animations with any sort of weight or power behind them? Watching guys supposedly ripping a forehand and it looks like they are barely swinging at it. Serve animations feel like they are in slow motion. Weird floaty animations.

I mean, I'm so glad that a new tennis game is coming out, but graphic aside, the gameplay doesn't look great to me. Modern tennis is so much faster and powerful. The ball in this gameplay looks madly light and the bounce very weird. I am going to purchase the game anyway and try it by myself, but I just wished the gameplay was something similar to "Tennis Elbow".

Initially i was so hyped for this. But this just seems like a 2.0 version on Top Spin 4. As someone who plays Top Spin 4 almost every week, this is a disappointment. It almost feels like 2K wanted easy money and just relaunched the game with few additional courts and minimal graphics. So disappointed.

I hope it doesn't devolve into volley rallies from no man's land like the previous entries. Last really solid game they made was topspin 2 imo. 3 and 4 just didn't feel realistic AT ALL Bit weary, though, after watching this footage and seeing more inside the baseline groundstrokes than behind. Doesn't look like you can flatten the ball out either? Just a bunch of not very realistic looking topspin trajectories on ground strokes that end up landing halfway into the service boxes only... They should just make pickleball games maybe lol, cuz it looks more like that than tennis

Precisely. It's so weird that we have sport that requires complex coordination to execute a shot. Yet still we not using the analog stick on the right of the game controller 🎮 to initiate striking the tennis ball (racket swing and follow through)

The graphics could be better..the controls is my issue..do the players still have weight to their movement? And hopefully this is an early build because the footwork and movement is janky and unrealistic and would be a huge step back from top spin 4.

Tennis elbow is still superior. Why can’t these big companies make games like tennis elbow; realistic graphics, movements, variety of ground strokes, serves, wtc

Movement and graphics? I dont think so. How come a robotic movements become superior. You need glasses man. If you keep on telling movements of TE is great, then its no way Manu the developer of TE will make it realistic as TS2k25.

Players deplacements, running are still pretty bad on Tennis Elbow if we're honest, so are the ball sounds but the physics and shots are pretty good.

@@BornIntoThis20 Thats the truth. Others are not honest or true to themselves. They make themselves believe that everything in TE is superior. No wonder, the developer are not trying to improve the parts that needs improvement in TE. And what for, the people who play TE are already praising TE. If we have this kind of mentality, we will never have a true complete tennis simulator.

@@jespPH9196 To be fair, as I've read the Tennis Elbow development forum post, that's not the same amount of ressources as 2K studio and as the developer said it's not and will not be a AAA title. But he said if the game makes enough money and with upcoming xbox port they would be able to do better motion design for deplacement I've read, so that's a good direction I guess. The game has a lot of potential. TS2K25 is kind of a lazy port of TS4 on the actual consoles with a huge marketing, communication (there is some articles about it in national newspapers websites) and influencers hype. Tennis Elbow doesn't have all that.

Νo outs and powerfull net play. Same as top spin 4. Nothing changed. I was no1 in the world on xbox and ps and i know what i am seeing

@@z76par83 no you are wrong. Shocase was no2 by far in career mode. Check again the leaderboards. We played many times and i won and lost many times
