------ Shimakaze - Japanese Tier X destroyer. Shimakaze, hull number 125, was an experimental destroyer, envisioned as the new generation of destroyer design for the Imperial Japanese Navy, born from the 1939 4th Naval Armaments Supplement Programme. Bigger and greater in tonnage than previous types, she carried a larger, higher pressure power plant than her predecessors, which resulted in the highest speed of any Imperial Japanese destroyer, along with the largest torpedo broadside of any previous destroyer, while still carrying a typical complement of main guns.

In this game, there are few things more pleasurable than riding your torps in on a bot sailing in a nice straight line. Doing it right as his planes are coming back in, so he's actually out of the game has to be one of them.

Playing against Shima in a bb is no fun, there's not much you can do, either you spot him by accident, or you are lucky to have german hydro. That kleber was also real bad, should have ended him there, very lucky.

Mid-game he could have kill that cruiser a lot sooner, when his team had the advantage. Yet he took a sweet long time, or maybe being indecisive... and missed all the torps, while the cruiser gained back half of the health. In return the game could have been decided earlier than this version we got.

Do you mean the Thunderer, cause yes, he fucked around, with it and the Montana in Torp range, waited, waited, then fired and they sailed out of range of his 8km torps. His saving grace was the Kleber at the end, no mean feat for a shima. Otherwise, shit team play, showboating. I do believe he was letting the thunderer heal so he could do more damage.

@@boydy7351agreed; lots of questionable decisions they made. And in fairness the Kleber kill was almost given to him. Kleber had no reason to turn into them, when he only needed to picket the entrance to A to let the points run longer. With Shima completely ignoring the cap objectives till the very end, he inadvertently forced his battleships to fill in as his cruiser support and retake objectives, only to hesitate with killing the Monty and Thunderer which from the start his team was having issues putting down. Also had Hayate or Kleber just took B while they had the 4 ships picketing against the Shima during mid game, red would have secured a stronger point lead.

Truth be told, I have had better then that in my shimma, but yes, he was good, and is probably a lot better player then me. All I am saying is that wqas not a socalled spectacullar game in my eyes
