Throne is the constellation Cepheus, jasper (Alderamin) and sardine (Garnet star) stone are references to two stars in Cepheus, rainbow is how the milky way looks in summer, emerald is reference to the night sky being translucent, 24 seats is division of the sky into 24 hours, seven lamps before the throne is reference to the 7 planets as Yahshua established in Rev 1:20, sea of glass refers to the transparency of the sky, four beasts are constellations, first beast is constellation Leo, second beast is Taurus, third beast is Aquarius, fourth beast is Scorpio which in the past was depicted as an eagle looking at all 4 constellations you see the 4 quadrants of the stellar map , being full of eyes is reference to the stars that make up the constellations, before and behind are references to time. Holy, Holy, Holy is not only a reference to Isa 6:3 but also is referencing the Shema in the YHWH is one, it is not a reference to the trinity doctrine but is a rebuke against it. Holy is not used as addition but in repetition in order to stress a point in the sane way Yahshua said "verily, verily" This does not mean John supported Astrology but he did support Astronomical dating as was established in Gen 1 and was used by the Magian Jews at the time of Yahshua's birth, When Revelation is looked at through not just historical interpretation but also using astronomical dating it shows most of the prophecies in Revelation are not still future but are the past, but teaching this exposes the counter reformation.

When it comes to the 4 creatures representing the 4 leading tribes, I understand, but Dan (the eagle) is not even mentioned in the 144,000. So, does the eagle still represent Dan or something else?

I don't know if subservient is the word since Yeshua came out of God not like we have a child but exactly himself in a different form and YESHUA and the FATHER are totally one, equals but have separate forms and do different things that are of one accord and one is not subservient to another from what is written the Bible.
