You should do a few episodes of SJA while you are waiting for the opertunity to go back to Torchwood. It will also help you in understanding what is going on when SJA stuff pops up in DW

I honestly DO not understand how people are supposed to connect that hand to the doctor before this scene, except for some really good guess work. It was a whole season + since he lost that hand, and really why would your first thought be that.

I went to Cardiff earlier this week & stood outside the "Torchwood Hub". It's even labelled as that on Google Maps! And I visited the Tourist office... people who've seen all the series of the show might know what they have there but I just stood in front of it and thought "damn I cannot wait to see Blindwave react to this"

While this isn't a favorite episode of mine, I've been REALLY looking forward to the reaction. :D And that was pretty amazing. It's just an episode with so many twists and turns for everyone to react to. Especially the Rhys death is one I looked forward to. I'm glad you all felt sorry for the poor guy. He's been going through a lot. Also the amount of WTF faces when Abaddon appeared was also fantastic. But my favorite reaction of the episode was definitely to the very last part, both with the "The right kind of doctor" line (I love that one so much) and the TARDIS sounds, and the questions that left everyone with. ;) Also yeah, the comments about the hand has been all over the place, which is ridiculous. It just makes no sense to me - a tv show is about discovering things as it goes on, and it wasn't like you missed any details about it up until this point. Idk. It just felt rude and unnecessary, especially with how some of those "helpful comments" were written. I'm glad most of you managed to get through it unspoiled, because that realization was GREAT. (It was so long ago I watched this for the first time, I honestly do not remember when I figured it out.) The Torchwood reactions are some of my favorites, so this s1 has been a blast. I'm glad you guys are enjoying the show so much, despite (or perhaps because!) of its weird twists and turns. But I'm also looking forward to what comes next, both in Torchwood and Doctor Who. And more Torchwood in two weeks! Looking forward to it.

The ending where jack disappears is actually the doctor who episode where we see jack running for the tardis shouting "Doctor!" because they stopped to recharge using the rift. That's what I've gathered anyway.

I think everyone who died before the rift was opened fully were revived because the effects of the splinters were fixed by fully opening the rift, and then Abadon came through it and killed everyone irreversibly before being killed by jack- those people didn't come back imo

The movie you are talking about is not big, but the one about the kid played by Brendan Fraser who grew up in a bunker and had stocks so he could buy his parents a nice home (who started making a new bunker 'just in case'). It's called Blast from the Past.

By the way the captain jack from the last episode isn't a real cpt Jack it's actually jack be he said that to tish as not to confuse her and also to keep his life secret... by the way when jack is gone in the end of this episode it continues in DW series 3 rp 10 or 11 (I'm not sure) called Uptopia

It is still a blatant disregard of the fact that there has been, at best, one previous (and very subtle) hint to it. Everyone was acting as if it needed to be known, when it's only implied here and revealed officially in _Utopia_

You guys should start watching the new Doctor Who spinoff Class that takes place during the 12th Doctors'(Peter Capaldi) run. Season 1 finished in 2017 so get on it

I thought this episode was pretty good. I just thought the demon was a bit much. They should've let bilis be the big baddie. I don't think giant monsters like that roaming around cites work in Doctor Who or in Torchwood. It just looks stupid. Can't wait for Utopia next week!
