Rare 1979 Torker Long Pro 4130 with original chrome, original 175mm one piece cranks (can still see gold shading on the arms) Stem is unfortunately Profile, which is still a great brand, but of course would rather have the 6 bolt Torker . . . one iell eventually show up on eBay. But for now, it's 1 if 50 made for 50th anniversary of Profile, etched in # to authenticate. still have original box I think they're even might be a COA? Little trivia on the bike it's been a resident of this small town of 8000 or so people near massive sprawls of farmland
When I was 14, I saw this bike and fell in love with it, tried hard to buy it from the guy (we went to middle school together) but could never budge him. He never would even ask the offering price.
Anyway 30 years working in Texas, I moved back home and Friend finds the frame in a long since abandoned shoe factory basement. Bought the "Holy Grail" and hand polished for 3 months before I got back as close as humanly possible to its original shine. Bob Haro was also nice enough to put the numbers on number plate I remember he said "they are a little tricky and I've really got it down to a science, I would be happy to put them on " I was like sure that would be awesome! Anyway, USA Oury grips that came on the original model, Chentg Shin III gumwall ties NOS & entire crank assembly original 1979, Kashimax Elite padded leather saddle, SE large flange hubs, DiaCompe brakes are new but match, original anodized color and got as close as they could to the original mold New pads, Old school sandwich style seat, post clamp. I believe mongoose use them around 1982. We always called them "sandwich clamps"
