Alot of people will keep rare things/ coins to tie to new born baby carriages and cribs. The half dollar coin is a rarer coin the one in the video has really rare qualities making it special. It brings luck, Riches, and health to come. My grandpa, and my dad did it. We still have the coins.

First off.. Thanks for your service. I have a Friend, like a brother, served 2 tours in Afghanistan.. kind of took a toll on him.. And my cousin that served in Iraq.. Messed him up.. This is one of my favorite FFDP Songs.. I have talked my Buddy down several times.. Still has nightmares of what he saw there..

I absolutely love this band! This song Ivan Moody (the lead singer)said is partially autobiographical. It's about generational trauma. I believe the coin is metaphorical. It was handed down to the father then the son then the grandson. His father experienced trauma that he in turn repeated history and traumatized his son. His son(the main character) didn't know how to escape the past trauma and in turn, couldn't function his his marriage the way he needed to. He thought joining the military was an escape but combat traumatized him even further. He leaves his family again history repeating itself. When the father dies the coin falls and the son picks it up to continue the cycle. The only question is does his son keep repeating the cycle of trauma when he grows up? My dev son-in-law figured out the best way to handle the stresses of a marriage by marrying a Marine. He can't talk about missions but when he's home on leave, she instinctively knows when it was a bad one & is extra comforting. He's got like five bracelets. The only time she insisted he removed them was during the birth of their three children. The thing I don't get, is they spend over a million dollars training a spec forces/op personnel and I guess they touch on the mental aspect, as you can't have someone lose it on a mission. But the average grunt doesn't get any kind of training like that. Then they come home & the VA says to bad, so sad....
