To keep with the theme of my tornadoes, hurricanes and blizzards "best of" videos, I've decided to put one together showcasing my best lightning video. This video features my best high definition lightning shots covering the years 2008-2012. Enjoy!

Love the shot around 5:07 when the trucks show up, it shows people that it is not a timelapse of all those lightning strikes. I tell people when I'm out chasing, that I have seen storms with so many lightning strikes that it looks so much like a strobe light or a timelapse.

I can't believe a fellow local chaser from New York has been almost everywhere in the plains, chasing some of the most memorable storms and supercells of the past few years. I'm from Yonkers, and I hope to get out there and intercept some colossal and stunning storms one of these days. Love your footage, Scott!

0:56, best lightning strike of the video it’s cool how you can see it move to the left as it strikes. Really good video, my favorite lightning montage

I believe lightning struck a power transformer at one point in the video. That was the green flash that occurred. Thanks so much for watching!

The storm was a bit far away (about 15 miles) and I edited some of the thunder out since it took a while before you heard it. Some of the strikes there was no audible thunder however. Thanks for watching!

This is true, there are parts of PA that are more active than others. And I love the Adirondack's!! Some great storms there too!

Yep, I've had some people accuse me of speeding up shots and I try to explain to them that it's not sped up, that storms out there really do have lightning this frequent! Thanks so much for watching

I hate it because I went on a school day out in London coming back on the coach on sheppey Bridge are coach was struck by the lightning

Yeah honestly i do too!! I was on a whale watch during a microburst and I saw a lightning strike that hit the ocean and it looked cool to me and everything but the wind was so strong it made a house calapse.. Still was really awesome storm for vacation and I was 8!! I hate to admit that but it's true

The area from Harrisburg to Allentown seem to get a lot of storms, western NJ has a tendency to be pretty active as well. Philly to Trenton is another hot spot, as well as the Jersey Shore. Here in NYC, the usually lose a lot of intensity due to the cooler ocean waters being so nearby

02:02 clearly the lightning was there hehe 4 times in a row even more on the same place! WAUW! 03:42 the road to heaven wauw! 05:25 wonderful and people just drive like it's normal weather they miss all the beauty! 05:57 than it was daylight LOL Wonderful video love all of them!!

That strike was a few miles away but I do recall hearing a pretty good blast of thunder a few seconds later. It certainly was brilliant that's for sure! Thanks for watching.
