Maybe that's the real reason he is always doing songs with accents from other cultures, because those are the people who wrote the music he uses. For him to use Americanized rap writers, he would likely have to risk them telling people. Drake has more authority in Toronto, and Americans and others outside of Canada wouldn't know what's going on there.

Love your content, I just watched Cardiacs content and the guy is telling the truth about Drake. Um Jamaican living in London but i have a few family memebrs in Toronto who was up and coming in 2010 and Drake bodyguard clamied he was a producer and took their music and never give them credit for it. Like cardic said my cousins can hear the cadences un Drake. Drake also came to Jamaica and causes beef within the artist them. He claimed he gave Mavado money to build a school but he didn't but because Drake is a bigger artist people belive him. He started to be friends with Popcaan and suddenly Drake start speakign with a Jamaican accent. I really dispile this guy and gis fake accents. He's an actor so he can switched into character easily. I hope more artists come out and tell their truth about this culture vulture.

To be fair, the area hes talking about at 7:10 in this video with the “Reggae Lane” mural is in “Little Jamaica” like 5 min from Forest Hill where Drake lived. A popular Synagogue is in the same area, which is why his family lived there. Drake also worked in a popular clothing store in said area back in the days. The area is nice, but it’s close to the hood.
