We spent the day at the Metro Toronto Zoo in Ontario, Canada! This is the largest zoo in Canada and is perfect for all ages!
We saw all of our favourite animals - tigers, lions, giraffes, gorillas, orang-utans, penguins, polar bears, cheetahs, zebras and more!
The zoo is split into different regions where you can view almost 500 different species of animals! Come visit Africa, Americas, Australasia, Discovery Zone, Eurasia Wilds, Indo-Malaya and the Tundra Trek.
There is an additional section of the zoo we chose not to visit this trip - The Canadian Domain! Although we have made the long uphill walk to the Canada section of the zoo many times before, our daughter was wearing a compression boot for her sprained ankle and we didn't want to push it. If you have time and want to see bison, grizzly bears and Moose, then you'll want to check this section out. (If you don't, you're not missing any of the best parts of the zoo - in our opinion).
