Gen 3 with 4l60e are the most popular swaps for beginners so I would love to see your thoughts on the p01 with 4l60e and 4l80e trans. Start simple and build on that.

Would love to see a video on the 2002-2005 Gen 3 Trailblazer / Envoy 4.2L with the P10. Loads of TM and MAP only tuning. Best way to dial in VE and remove some post-shifting TM. Keep up the excellent work on your channel!

I added a diablo tuner to my 2012. On the performance tune this makes sense to me. If you manually shift it 1-2 WOT it will lay over. Shift to 2nd. Then bark the hell out of a 12.50 like you neutral dropped it. I've done it a time or 2 but try not to it feels like its gonna break something for sure.

Wow great lesson on TCM ! My 18 2ss after engine mods. Is putting down 577hp. To the tires on a chassis dyno, but during WOT. The power flattens at 5,600 rpm , any advise would be great!

I know I'm late to the party. I'm playing with the idea of running an L86 truck motor with a 6l80e in my 73 camaro. I've driven a 2010 ss auto and love the factory rev match. Would be a bad ass feature to have in a 73 rs. Occasional trip to the strip, mostly street driven and some auto-X

3:38 Just recently Can Tuned my Dakota, 545fre and the Superchips, TCM shift for TM is at like 40% per what I've read on forums. So during a WOT shift from 1-2 it would pause like a manual for a second then the next gear would engage soft and lazy like. Turned the TM setting back to stock and it shift like it always had. annoying part is in the 91 tune it doesn't let you adjust it, it's SC or Stock parameters but in 87 it does as a % lol.

Can you please do a video of low rpm tuning on the street? I'm having a hard time tuning open loop maf for lower rpm areas. Mid and high rpm is easier, I command 2nd gear and use a little brake to keep some load. But my MAF idles at 2250ish, highest is see is 10,500hz. Basically can't dial in 22xx to 5000hz. I'm thinking I should tune what I can in open loop, then go closed loop and tune lower rpm based on fuel trims. Sound good? I guess it's basically for fuel efficiency at this point, because my wot is dialed in. BTW, I'm a new subscriber. I love how you hit basically every question I have. This is my first car I've tuned and your videos are helping a lot. You cut out the BS and make it easy to understand. Thanks.

E67 gen 4 with a 6l80e. My setup falls on its face from 0 to 40mph any time I go wot. Even if I have traction control and stabili-track off.

so ive got an 07 grandprix gxp. i got a P2544 then U0073 codes. in drive , it makes the trans herkey jerky lugging the engine, the traction light comes on as well as traction alarms on the DIC. no check engine light. when i put the shifter into tap shift mode and use the paddles , there is no issue . does the tap shift mode reduce torque management ? can i just tune torque management in drive mode with HP tuners or am i dealing with a harness issue ( a communication issue between the ECM and TCM ) that needs to get resolved ?

I have a 2007 suburban that has 35s and i use for camping when im in the sand i can feel the timing. Being cut when i apply more than half throttle i need the power to. Go to the camp site .what can i. Do to help this i dnt beat on it i nuat need the power. To be available .i would hate to get stuck out on the dunes with my family

Can you do corvette c7 z06 2015 with bolt on modifications HEADERS- 15% lower pulley-3.42 rearend-met injection, bost is now 17 psi instead of 11 psi. MY TRANSMISSION IS NOT SHIFTING.

I concur my 2020 Redeye uses fuel cut. The only time I have seen spark used is when in Line Lock and then the logs show spark retard at shifts. Goat Rope Garage do you still have plans for vids on Dodge tuning? Sure would be nice. Thanks

I been having problems with my 4 cylinder chevy It was NA and I installed a turbo. It won't go pass 60% throttle. I've tried adding torque and the virtual torque tables seem to be locked. If anybody cal helps I would really appreciate it. The car rips as is

I have a 2017 2500HD with the 6.0L, is there a different map for the throttle or tq management in tow mode? I have unlocked the TCC in 1-4 and adjusted shift points but i still seem to have more throttle response in tow, possibly VVT tuning?

Coming from experience with General Motors vehicles specifically in the Performance application I’ve personally noticed torque management getting in the way of a lot of things. With that being said I found a large difference between Chevrolet and Ford trucks specifically the power delivery system. If you go WOT the Chevy is a dog where the Ford gets up better. Is this due to the torque management? (Please keep the Ford is better comments out) Thoughts?

There transmission torque management can be very obtrusive, especially on the early torque based Gen IV platforms, but it eventually became more about the torque control system and how torque management piggy backs off of it. But it's just one item in a list of many that keeps the trucks from running their best.

I've got a diablosport tune and deleted torque management now the truck is hard shifting. When I hit the gas the truck responds but when is about to shift it does like the gas is cutting of for a second.

I'm wondering if it that's how these high horsepower manual cars (specifically C6) are getting out of the hole as well as if that's part of the no lift shift protocols. I've tried playing with the Park and Neutral rev limiters to allow NLS, but so far it's only about 80% effective. My car has the TQ management dialed all the way out, and now I might dial some of it back in for a "winter" tune! ;)

You say you don’t know of any set ups using fuel cut as a torque control. Then you said you know of set ups using throttle input and timing control. Not being a jackass, not being smart, being serious. If it changes throttle input or timing, wouldn’t that mean it is fuel cutting? If it dials back throttle input wouldn’t that be fuel cut in a sense? I’m learning a lot on LS, I’m just curious if there’s a difference in fuel cut and changing throttle input. I know cut would be stopping the fuel and throttle input change would be just less fuel, but that is using fuel to control torque output, yes?
