The issue @ 12:55 can be also helped by using a doubled up, short but thick, resistance band( I use the SHORT MONSTER MINI RESISTANCE BAND) between the rope hook and the sled. This makes it so if you pull too aggressively the band stretches but if you pull slow and consistently the sled moves. You don't have to worry about the front popping up or skipping. Thanks for making the video!

I looked at this and the larger one Ben Patrick highlighted. In the end I purchased the Rogue Dog Sled with all attachments, price with them is approx the same. Its not as flexible as the one you bought, as in yours is wheeled, can be used on more varied surfaces, but the resistance it offers peaks, lighter than I wanted. I purposefully wear my Vibrams when using it, both pushing and pulling, they give perfect flexion and drive straight through my toes, ankles, etc:0 ) So good Call Mark, Sledding is the way forwards...

Great description and review. This is about $850 in the US, not bad really. I already have a c2 rower (bought around 12 years ago, not used that much anymore b/c I greatly prefer outside type things). I later got a used Elliptigo 8 speed, that is fun and a great workout. So this is just another niche type outside workout device, I like that it doesn't appear to need much maintenance other than occasional air in the tires. If my wife would use it and not think it insane, I would get one of these. Moderate weekly pushing and pulling with this will keep a person firm on their feet well into their 80s and beyond.

We have sleds at my gym, i may have to start using them. Mainly my knees have some damage from a few accidents, thus I generally avoid lunges and squats and do weighted step ups instead. This seems to be a useful addition that I might be able to do sans pain. Also Nixon should be sitting on the sled, after all don't you owe him a few good pushes around the neighborhood after all the training he does with you. Good stuff.

Sleds are sensational...the other big proponent of them is Louie Simmons...different purposes but both have great results...I made a tire sled to take around my block which is great for pulling but not for pushing...I used it when I got back into running but was having trouble with calves...long distance pulling at desired HR was amazing for aerobic base...the lack eccentric makes them beautiful to do everyday... I am four weeks in so far so early days-I will definitely do something on it in a month or so. So far I am absolutely loving the app, every single day somebody will watch my exercise videos and comment on form et cetera. It really is a very slick service.

@@TrueFilter I'm not Mark but I'll answer for him - yes, he has. He has a video talking about them if you poke through the history.
