4 ай бұрынThe American Honda Motor Company unveiled its latest environmentally conscious automobile at its U.S. headquarters in Torrance. The CR-V FCEV- Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle runs on hydrogen as well as a small battery you can power at home. It rides nearly 300 miles before needing to refuel at one of about 50 stations in California.

I love the idea of hydrogen vehicles, especially for more demanding vehicles like RVs and semis. Of course there is the big problem: where do we fuel up?

There’s one fueling station in Torrance but it’s closing soon 😂 plus hydrogen is very expensive! I believe the mayor stated in a recent meeting that they plan to find a new provider. However, it wouldn’t be a priority 😢

You're 100% spot on. Chinese EVs are giving luxury carmakers a run for their money with such high quality design and interiors. BYD alone can send several legacy carmakers into bankruptcy

What they don’t tell you is that Hydrogen is $36 a Kg. A fill up is more than $150 for 270 miles. This vehicle would make much more sense if it was just a full BEV. Honda is paying an astronomical amount to fuel this vehicle for no good reason.

The price will come down as the switch to hydrogen continues and more is produced.

@@Danjs112 the price of Hydrogen has never gone down. It has tripled in the last couple of years.
