7 жыл бұрынIt was the first major swell to hit Nias in the 2017 season, Torren Martyn's feet were itching to escape his backyard of Byron Bay and a flight was leaving in just a couple of days - what some would call the perfect storm of circumstance and the perfect impromptu adventure.

1st half of video just the most perfect turns and flow ever, 2nd half of the vid just ultra casual and laid back in 8ft + Nias bombs and making it look super easy. Torren is an absolute style and charging machine!! Love his work 🤙🏽❤😊

Still my favorite surf film ever. I saw this in August 2017 right when I moved to Oʻahu. Watching Torren inspired me to get my first board. Finally got my first fish this week and it feels like the stars have aligned.

Grew up surfing Rincon and Malibu. Obviously the waves in the video are a bit tastier than the aforementioned but this brings to mind the classic style of a bunch of guys in the 70's -80's who rode Greg Liddle surfboards. Torren's long carving lines are reminiscent of the way those guys rode the Bu'. Guy has a very sweet style and affinity fo da pit!
