The demolition of the former Torriginton Dairy is finally upon us in November 2023 after lying empty for 30 years, closed shortly after a substantial fire broke out and recent changes to the market affected it's future, the old place a haven for graffiti artists, and a eyesore for the locals, over the many years of antisocial behavior and various arson attacks, not to mention casualties and even some deaths that have fallen foul of this place over it's checkered history of the last 3 decades.
The site is due to be industrially cleaned and asbestos removed and then raised to slab level and then sold on for redevelopment to allow it to become much needed housing.
