What I love about this is that if you listened to this without prior knowledge this was a cat synth, you probably wouldn't even be able to tell.

This makes me think of my baby, Snowball, he just passed away recently but I remember listening to this video while petting him while he was still alive, I miss his cute little face, I miss his meows when I filled his food bowl, I miss how everytime he saw me crying he would always come over to comfort me. This made me cry. Actually. 3 years ago I had a cat that looked exactly like the one on meow synth but he escaped, we hoped he'd come back but after a whole year we gave up. I still like to think hes out there in the wild with a family. You will be missed JJ.

TW: loss of a pet Today, at 11:30AM, my cat passed away. He was 14, and suffered from Hyperthyroidism and an undiagnosed lung condition. He had been gasping for air for weeks and had become skin and bones, and we decided it was no longer fair to him to let him suffer. He was so close to me, he was my cat since I was 1. I cried and yelled and weeped in anguish, and after a bath, I felt so much better. When I pass by, I still look in spots where he used to nap. Sometimes I ask myself when he is coming back, and then I remember, he won't. When that happens, it makes me feel hollow and cold inside and makes me cry. I listen to this song to remember when he would sit on my desk and I would listen to this while petting him. All morning I hugged and petted him to let him know I loved him. Rest in peace, Maui. Sleep tight. (yes my pfp is the cat)

upon opening this video, I was transported to a world in my mind nothing like our own, a world of liminal spaces, neon beaches, purple lights, endless roads, and cats. nostalgia hit me like a freight train. this is one of the best compositions and remixes I have ever heard, and I love it to the ends of the earth.

so, as a kid, me and my family would go to an Ikea occasionally and i would be amazed that my 3 pound body would be able to experience early 2010s ikeas for some reason. This version of the song reminds me EXACTLY of that ikea, the desolate highway right next to it, the early beaming sunrise, it was pure heaven. Thanks for taking me back to so long ago.
