A great player for several teams lol. He went on deep runs with Dallas, NYR, and Chicago as well. And even won another cup with Chicago. Key player to many great teams.

I played minor hockey on PEI against Brad. Great family. Very charitable and quietly help out a lot of people. Kudos to Brad for being a model Canadian hockey player and a great rep for PEI.

I loved having Richie in NY. He kept the Rangers together after the Calahan trade. We got screwed in game 1 of the SCF. Had the Rangers won that game It's a completely different series.

If he'd already won a cup and still felt that "what if" after a close loss, imagine the sting of never winning at all. Hope his Dad has a good retirement; my Dad had to leave school to work when he was a kid, too.

Richards was definitely underrated, Conn Smythe winner in ‘04, 2 time cup winner with Tampa (‘04) and Chicago (‘15), also a big game player come postseason time.

Lol i wouldn't say he was under rated dude. Look at his stats. He was pretty elite early on when he was on the lightning but then he fell off and didn't really preform up to expectations later in his career. He still put up decent numbers but no where near the amount he should've been for the amount he was getting paid. All and all he was a good player but I wouldn't say he was under rated.

I have to give a lot of the NHL players, a tremendous amount of respect because a lot of them delayed having children delayed being married and that doesn’t seem to be something that a lot of professional athlete still it’s very rare to find a 22-year-old professional, NHL or with a family or even a couple of kids floating around they’re all pretty reliable. They’re all fairly well thought out people.

Yeah... Richie is clearly playing his cards tight to his chest. And you gotta respect that. The boys knew it too and didn't probe too hard. Richie commands respect because he respects himself and he respects others. And that's my biggest take from this episode; his character. Maybe that's the Torts story. ✊
