And a sure sign of someone who cares about sonic details. I'm not even that big a fan of AAL but Tosin Abasi cares about his music and his sound and I have immense respect for that guy. A lot of people buy gear and gear and pedals and pedals, but never touch their tone knobs and pickup switches. This blows my mind.

Extremely interesting blend of styles here and executed fantastically. I can hear all sorts in it, with some elements even reminding me of Caspar Brötzmann. That said, it retains much uniqueness and has a wonderful beauty to it. Tosin Abasi, the day somebody put a guitar in your hands was a great day and I'm so glad that you have given us this superb sonic experience.

today i went to guitar center and picked up my first 8-string guitar. At first i was stumped, its a completely different feel from a 6-string. I'm a drummer myself and I totally understand your feelings lol. It took me a good while to get my head round AAL's music in general, without even worrying about learning and/or playing some songs, and I have a background of studying Thomas Lang/Virgil Donati/etc. for the past 5+ years. Even if I'll never be able to learn something (I'd say this song is learnable for me on drums, although the 15/8 section starting at 2:50 will be super hard to get down, and the first section before the 5/8 theme starts will be awkward to learn note perfect), it inspires me to know that this stuff is out there and that people are pushing the envelope, compared to the crap that most of today's pop music is :)
