Guys, it’s ok that this dude doesn’t care for this style of guitar. You don’t have to be on the same skill level as someone in order to hold a subjective opinion. Y’all all sound like a bunch of butt-hurt babies because a guy doesn’t share the same opinion as you. I personally also think stuff like this and Polyphia is overly-complex for no good reason. It’s hard for the sake of being hard, not necessarily because it serves the music. Half of the stuff people play in this style just sounds like a bunch of banging around, tapping, and harmonics. It isn’t the most musical sound, so obviously some people don’t like it. It also doesn’t mean that people who hold this opinion are too dumb to understand it or aren’t good enough to play it or anything like that. People have opinions. Get over it.

The reason I love to play guitar is the feeling of joy when you hear a great guitar player.. the wonder of being 15 and finding deep meaning in something that is unreachable but strangely a feeling that’s within! I am 43 now but still am as blown away by great players cause of that feeling of amazement..takes me back to the first time I fell in love with the guitar.. I have a look of absolute amazement like a child seeing magi for the first time..that’s the look on all of their faces! These highly accomplished players still get blown away! That’s what’s makes music special.. the shared sense of wonder ❤
