I am praying but doesn’t seem like any of his buddies that he fished with and became close to have even mentioned it or tried to come up with some sort of fundraiser for his family. I have not heard any of them mention him so not sure what happened with them but even if it was a bad break up with all of them you would think they would be there. I’m very bothered by this and now that I have watched the old crews videos and known mention it I am no longer going to follow any of them. Something just isn’t right for known of them to mention it or mention Sara and family. To me just shows they care about their own money which I don’t support when you can’t help ask for prayers or help do a fundraiser for Sara and the boys plus CMR. I’ve been waiting for one to mention but haven’t heard it so done following them all. Plenty of other fishing content out there that are asking for prayers and helping Sara and the boys. Just sad

@@Tiffany-lovesanimals they have all talked about Ron and have mentioned his go fund me page with a link to it. They have also said they are praying for him.

@@daniellagassee152 I had not watched his next video which is when he mentioned it. But yeah apparently there families don’t stay in touch much since he didn’t know much detail and just from what he had heard. I just thought maybe even going separate ways with the fishing and what they wanted to do in future with videos that they all still spoke and hung out at times but guess not but glad he mentioned it in this video and the go fund me page. I would love to see Brant, beach bum and Bearded Brad get together and do just one video to help Sara post on CMR’s channel but I know those guys we busy with the store and keeping their own content going plus have families. It would just be wonderful to see those 3 have a good day together to put together to put on Ron’s channel like some other creators are gonna do but life is busy for these guys with the store just hoping they can find couple hours to go out and fish for mangroves for Ron and Sara. I do appreciate you letting me know though but I just hadn’t watched beach bums last 2 videos he posted after this one. I just know Beach Bum is a praying man so that’s why I was shocked he hadn’t mentioned it to let ppl know and to get all the prayers going and mention the go fund me for the family. Beach Bum has been my favorite to watch out of Brant and BB then loved watching CMR bc his personality and how they both get so excited when lines are tight. Beach bum gets so excited which we all need to hear the positive energy. I do appreciate you commenting back to my post. Hope you have had a great day!

Can you clarify why you mean by "turn the point outwards a few degrees?" Do you mean opening the hook along its axis like you are trying to straighten it, or turn it off its axis? Thanks.

@@joshuahealy2228 what you’re doing is creating a offset hook instead of a inline hook. What that means is from the top of the bend of the hook to the point is turned out to one direction and no longer points straight ahead to the shaft. With big swim baits, when a fish strikes and clamps down on the bait with a store purchased bait, the shaft to the eye of the hook and the section from the point lay flat. With the extra thickness of large soft plastics it’s easy for the hook to pull through without making contact in the fishes mouth. With a offset hook, the point of the hook will either face up or down in the mouth making it much more likely to make contact inside the mouth. Can’t post pictures in replies or I would.
