The creators said that both versions are canon so it wouldn't be spoiled before the season finished airing. Duncan won originally in America, but Beth won in the re runs. Duncan also won I Canada, while Beth won in almost every single other country.

I kinda wish this was the canon ending, it’s the first ending I saw and I was super duper happy she won, she never competes again so it would be fitting if she canonically won to end her run off, so Duncan continues on other seasons. So it makes more sense for Duncan’s win to be the alternate and that’s what I’ll always think!

Here in Brazil, the both endings for TDI, TDA and TDWT were dubbed in Brazilian Portuguese, but shown in different channels: TDI: CARTOON NETWORK: Owen wins BOOMERANG: Gwen wins TDA: CARTOON NETWORK: Beth wins BOOMERANG: Duncan wins For TDWT (Cartoon Network exclusive in Brazil), it´s a special case, on the original run, in 2010, Heather wins, but in subsequent re-reuns 2011-2013(?), Alejandro wins. Onwards the seasons 4-6 (+TRR) there is only one winner. Which are the opposite to the US runs.

Apparently, just as these ending are alternate realities, Justin’s dialogue in each, makes it seem like he had the tie breaker vote. In this ending, he regrets voting for her. But in Duncan’s ending, he doesn’t mention who he voted for, but it was probably Duncan in that one.

Duncan won in Canada. If Beth was gonna be the real ending then why didn't they show it on TV? Duncan's aired first so he's the real ending. He won, no other way around it.

I'm not the only comment that is "4 years late" plus I didn't know about total drama back then so I (like many other people) want to express my opinion and point of view I'm just doing it at a different time. 2. Well it clearly says in the title Beth Wins in this version so why would you go into the comments telling people That Duncan is the real winner...it's annoying. 3. I bother replying because I think it's dumb to do leave this kinda comment. why can't we just say that there are different winners for different people and leave it at that. 4. True it might not be salt but there are a lot of people on here that say Duncan won just because they like him more then Beth.

Brandon fernandez Actually, she won in most countries outside of the US and Canada. She won in Australia, Brazil, Croatia, Finland, France, Hungary, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, South Africa, and Sweden.

While the alternate endings are nice they’re confusing as fuck. I recently watched the entirety of Total Drama Action (minus the aftermath stuff) and I was so confused when Duncan won. I was like I could have swore it was Beth.
