The fact that we find out that Duncan knew Mal from juvie and that wasn't further developed during the season feels like a crime

Duncan in season 1: the boyfriend everyone wants. Duncan in the rest of the series: the boyfriend nobody wants.

That's not Duncan. He may look like the cool guy from seasons 1-3, but that's not him. Duncan did terrible in this season. During Season 3, he became pretty lame (unlike seasons 1 and 2) but he still did well and got 5th place.

Duncan acted like he’s never been thrown a surprise party before. I don’t envy this kids home life.

Duncan was definitely still in love with Courtney. I mean, you could def see that he cared when court blanked him. If he didn’t have feelings for her, he wouldn’t have cared. Plus, in tdr Duncan makes it SUPER clear that he still liked court years later when they were adults. I think he let his emotions get ahead of him and he thought he liked Gwen more then Courtney, but in conclusion, he loved court truly.

The first 2 episodes were ok then the season started getting lame. He could have so much potential if the whole "softie" part didn't exist, even worse how they ditched him mid season. - Jo and Duncan could go pretty well in team, just like Brick he can stand up to her - Scott and Duncan have the same attitude, they coukd be friends until he starts flirting with Courtney which makes Duncan pick on him, leading to his elimination - Courtney - they had little to no interaction, strange since they're in Wawanakwa where it all started - Mal - such a wasted opportunity to make some interesting drama - Alejandro - after what they went through in WT, 14:37 is just insignificant

the best duncan moments in this season was him not talking and looking cool. everytime he talked it was about his character derailment and gwen or courtney

I love how the writers completely ruined so many of their characters and really just did the worse things that could've been done. I really admire how instead of giving their characters proper character archs, so they can develop as 3 or even 4th dimensional characters, the writers said, "lets just slap some random out of character actions, dialogue, and details on and hope the viewers will see that as character growth." It's just so cool, how even in their own writing of a singular season, contridicts itself in multiple ways. I also appreciate that when addressing unhealthy relationships, such as Duncan, Courtney, and Gwen, they completely miss the point on how those relationships should been handled. It's just so progressive of them to allow two female characters empower themselves from a unhealthy romantic male figure that they also abused, insulted, and gaslighted themselves during their relationship to him. For example, it made so much sense that Gwen dumped Duncan for thinking about Courtney all the time, dispite the fact that she also spent the entire season obsessing over Courtney. It's just so important to teach people (especially children) that toxic/unhealthy relationships are ALWAYS one sided and its impossible for the women in those relationships to also contribute to the toxicity. The writers really know what they're doing, and im so happy they decided on making a show about the contestants as toddlers... they really just know what we don't want and then they deliver, amazing.
