Highlights from my video of the 1994 Nov 3 Total Solar Eclipse, as seen from high altitude in the Atacama Desert, near Putre, Chile. As well as recording Totality the comments of John Mason and other travellers capture the excitement just after the spectacle of Totality had ended.

Yo también tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Putre desde Santiago, en un viaje que incluyó también el camino Inca a Machu Picchu en Perú. De vuelta fuimos a Putre a ver el eclipse. Inolvidable.

Very nice and excellent narration! Great job :) I was looking into going to Putre myself, but work wasn't cooperating very well with giving me the time off. But more yet, in pre internet days, the Travel Agent warned me about possible dangers of traveling to the area and that was enough to cancel the trip :( Did you encounter any traveling dangers? I see you went on a bus? I was just going to travel alone. I did see a brief less than a minute total on Feb 26th 1979 from Yakima, Washington at age 14. Then I flew to Mazatlan for the July 11th 1991 "the big one" 6 min 58 seconds of totality, but got clouded out! :'( The last eclipse I seen was an annular from El Paso, Texas on May 10 1994. Then a bunch of unfavorable location ones occurred in the next decades and here I am today at age 53 greatly enjoying your video with what I could of seen from Putre. Thank you for sharing! The best eclipse video I have ever seen! I can tell you know your eclipses. The only word I didn't hear was Chromosphere :P
