Drove up to Madras, OR (from Califonia) upon learning that it was in the direct path of the solar eclipse. Luckily to find a perfect spot with the view of the Crooked River valley and the unobstructed view of the horizon. Only few diehards showed up at the lookout, a perfect small party for the event.
