Idea I'd go with is the enemy legions took advantage of the Elves being distracted when they summoned the rift that got the 5,000 'Unknown' Skaven to raid Uthuan Obviously you can end them all within a single turn with a big enough army in the right spot, but given that you had 20 turns to defend, the roleplay scenario seems to be they were mass spread and some areas were more guarded then others.

Agreed, battling other factions is far more entertaining. I completed this with high elves and it was easy. I continued the campaign and fought against the Itza lizardmen faction which was the 1st most powerful one. Now that was fun.

I used a doomstack of 4 moon dragons and 15 tier 7 star dragons, and my lord wasnt even legendary, but he rode a star dragon so...easy as hell fight.

@@mustache3727 defeat all major factions that can do rituals. so hexoatl, clan eshin (?), and naggarond (dark elves). if u defeat all them before doing the final ritual u get domination victory and can't do any more rituals.

It's most likely because in your video settings there's a unit size option if you have that on medium or lower that's most likely why it's only at 45 units mine is at ultra that's why I have 90

Those are spells That you get given in the final Battle From the vortex as far as i know they are only usable in the final battle you don't need any wizards in your army to use them

As far as i know In the last battle Your ammo Is Unlimited Otherwise It would of been very one sided and completely pointless to bring archers full stop

tbh it was the easiest fight in the game, the vortex attack ability was way too OP

The fight is very easy anyways with unlimited ammo and op spells you get after defeating first skaven army

What ive found on my campaigns is that the AI struggles to get past the third Ritual Between the other major factions interventions and the Skaven stacks they mostly fail letting me play any style i like But im not sure if im just getting lucky or the ai is really dumb

The Ai never been improved. it still dumb as a sack of bricks even whit the army compositions. yeah it slow down a bit but still i prefert the old Short campaign and long campaign victory conditions beacuse i could plan what to do and where to go whit the Vortex campaign i am kind of forced to conquer the same places were i get extra ritual resources.

I agree the ai will allways be dumb af spamming heros and other shitty units And i also think that ca shoud of put out a mode sort of like they did with the beastmen dlc and the wood elves for the vortex and put out the normal mode with the short and long victory conditions

I can easly outplay the AI but for me they gain crazy amount of ritual resources. Currently in a campaign as Defenders pretty much conquered the continent with 3 sites. i ''borrowed'' one from Pestilence and i subjugated a small Lizardmen clan for another giving me 5 sites in total. The high elves still give me a run for my money i'm barely in the lead with Dark elves close behind me aswell. Malekith owns a few lands and only own Ghrond if i'm correct i know the high diffeculty gives AI stupid amount of bonusses but isn't this unfair ? Wish there were a option to tweak it i love challenging fights ( even though it's just doomstacking ) but the race for the vortex is just bullshit.

You don't have to rush it as long as you defeat them in their final ritual battle.

Ive just bought it and i dont have Warhammer 1. You get around 12 (not not exactly certain of this number) when you include all of the free dlcs that come with warhammer 2

Well if you both have bought warhammer 1. you both get to play the mortal empires campaign. Which is the old world campaign(from wh1) and eyes of vortex combined size campaign

@@rizalalbar not quite. Mortal Empire's crams all major continents and factions onto the campaign map adjusted so they kind of fit. Vortex has the Ulthuan and all the continents south and east of it. Does not have much in the way of the Old world factions.

On this play through I had Sunfang and his dragon armour I also had a couple of tier 2 and 3 items that I can't recall

Just in this final battle you have unlimited ammo Other Wise a 3v1 Would Make bringing archers Useless

In the Final Battle All Your ammo Is unlimited To keep the fight fair Otherwise you would run out Half way through the second army

Well I won this on hard also and all Are Phoenix guard and sisters of avelon and some shadow warriors With a few sun dragons
