This week's rather late Totem Tuesday is all about the Blackbird - inspired by a visit to Chalice Well gardens in Glastonbury

Wow. That was beautifully presented, love your style Sister! Thank you for sharing this sacred knowledge! I have been literally surrounded by these birds for the second summer now as I encroach on thr most dramatic transition of awareness and conciousness in my life so far. Keep it up, please! When l was 6/7 l felt a strong connection to them as though l could speak to them. Every time someone died in my family l felt their presence even more. They are a beautiful bird and considered one of the smartest animals. I feel blessed l was shown my totem at such a young age.

I see them in the water in the back yard and they eat in the yard as well! Blue black and Green black! Really beautiful!!

Oh glory, been waiting for this from you, knew it would come. I live near Glasto and also met the blackbard eye to eye. Beak dipped in the underworld where I first met him in a Shamanic journey. Very powerful, now I meet the bard everywhere whenever my lonliness demons take over. I am off to Chalice garden today, infact. I will give him your regards, dear L. Thank you for this video. The blackbird has been with me on my journey for many years now. Beautiful and powerful, he always gives me comfort, when times are difficult and reminds me to stop and listen, take time to hear my inner voice. Tam. Xxx

My grandmother believed that loved ones would come back in the form of a blackbird too look after their loved ones. This was because whenever someone close to her had died, she'd run into the blackbird all the time. After she died, my mother told me this story after telling me how she noticed a blackbird had started visiting our backyard. Ever since, the blackbird have been to me a messenger between this world and the world beyond, and blackbird has been very significant to me.

Laura thanks for another wakeup nudge. Blackbirds, including the redwinged blackbirds where i live, have always been gateway heralders for me. No matter where i might be when i see them or hear them, they have a way of reminding me; that it is still me alive in the magic of nature where so much is possible. Small things making the greatest of connections!

this is so appropriate to me. Today Friday I saw a female blackbird outside my mum in laws house and it made me smile and sad when I saw this video as yesterday we had to bury my father in law. I knew it was a sign when I saw the female blackbird today as it looked at me and stayed for ages and then it hopped away not flew away. great video as always so enjoying this series. Hugs Sara

Thank you for this I needed this information. I thought it mean negativity I see them as I'm driving on the road at work. They always fly in front of my windshield sometimes in clusters.

I used to have a blackbird visit my garden and he had on white tail feather, i've moved since then and i miss that bird. I read somewhere that white blackbirds have been spotted in uk.

Iv one knocking on my bedroom window every morning this pass 5 days............knocks the same place on window every time, blinds are closed so not reflection....

I had a red cardinal that got close to me. A while later I had two large black birds that got within eyesight and then flew away. What do you think that means.
