Good evening Ali I have been a SPURS supporter since I arrived in England from Jamaica age 14 yrs old in 63 most of my class mates supported SPURS. One of them invited me to Highbury to watch Ars v Man U McLintock had just signed from Leicester City. The following week we went to White Heart Lane and I was hooked on the football they played here I am 60 yrs later I have seen the bad the good and the darn right Ugly, but the Lane was magic I am very optimistic about the future of the football side with this Manager Ange! COYS!!

So ironic that Poch is Chelsea now. If they had not cheated he would have won the league with Spurs. And maybe more. Now he joins the club that screwed him and potentially goes down being punished for crimes where he was a victim. He could have still been our guy!

I wish Sonny would go back to taking some of those shots for us, he hasn't tried it all season as I recall. As for the Everton points deduction, 10 pts for one charge, I think Manchester City and Chelsea should both get relegated and with 115 charges City should go down 2 divisions. The thing is it sounds bad relegating them 2 divisions but the benefit will do for the other teams in those divisions, considering the Chelsea/City squads they have will get them promoted straight away, the other teams will benefit from increased attendances. In other words although Chelsea and Manchester City would be upset about being relegated 2 divisions it'd just be inconvenience for them but be a benefit for the rest of the league, the Premier would be more competitive for a couple of years, Championship and Division 1 would benefit from greater interest. I'm not sure which league Richarlison is worth 80 million in but I've never seen much evidence of it in the Premier League. Have a great day, take care of yourself and enjoy.

What do you think of VAR being challenge based? 1 per half, keep if you’re correct. Can challenge anything but self regulating because you’re not going to risk losing the challenge on a throw in. Feel like this fixes the main issues with VAR, mainly the forensic examination of everything. Obviously there would be details to iron out, but I also like the idea of specifying what exactly you’re challenging with a goal, so that you can’t just challenge a goal in the hope that there is something wrong with it
@jamesbowden37867 ай бұрын
I agree completely. Cricket has the right idea, Even though their system isn’t perfect. But their review operatives seem to be more efficient than their football counterparts. Maybe it’s because their system isn’t over complicated. And the idea of one or two reviews in each half is one I’ve thought might be a good idea for a while now. It would hopefully reduce much of the time taken up reviewing every little incident. Tweaking some of the daft rules and regulations would help with that maybe. I think everyone knows what I mean by that.

If I remember things right. West Ham signed playerd who had third party ownership issues, which wasnt allowed by the league. This meant they were ineligible to play. West Ham used these players to keep them up at the expense of Sheffield Utd, who then sued. Think it was settled out of court for £20 million.
@richarddaygm7 ай бұрын
I dont see why leeds could sue - if all everton's point were deducted last year, leeds would have still gone down, but on goal difference.

Great to see Jack Clarke building a great career for himself. I seem to remember him being made to feel particularly unwelcome by late-stage Poch after signing and almost being the toy that Poch threw out of the pram when his passion projects Tanguy and Gio weren't signed quickly enough. For a kid to come into that environment, and then suffer Mourinho as manager shortly after would be enough to kill plenty of young players careers. Will be interesting to see how the summer plays out with that reported 50% sell on clause.

Very pleased that Jack Clarke is doing so well at Sunderland and just wish he had been given more chances at Spurs. I really hope that Bryan Gil fares better at Spurs in terms of game time and success. Likewise I would love to see Jamie Donley make his PL debut very soon.

Obviously with injuries they’ll have mini targets that once one part stronger they move on to diff exercises and sone will be fixed ahead of schedule but then the next part may take longer - maybe Van Der Ven moving in to diff part of rehabs a little quicker than planned so he’s getting little excited while medics being rightly cautious - same with bentacour he was back sooner than planned but even month ago they were talking as if be end of nov - but obviously once was training responded lot quicker than they originally thought

Its a bitter sweet feeling about ex spurs players doing well. On one hand im really proud they developed at spurs, on the other hand, its a massive lack of vision from previous managers and the board to let the likes of modric/bale/trippier/walker/kane/sheringham go... list goes on.. I watched the England Malta game and always feel pride that trips and walker are two of the best right backs to ever play for england and have established their world class status.. Trips especially amazes every time. His first touch, first time volleyed crosses, assists, free kicks, reading the game, he is such a talent and after selling walker, we should never have let him go... Porro is superb dont get me wrong, and I like Emerson, but trips is still head and shoulders above their level

As usual, a very good video, despite a lack of domestic football due to the international break which couldn't have come at a better time for Tottenham given the state of the squad injury wise. Being an Aussie, I'm going to digress a bit from football and mention the cricket as I know Ange is a huge fan of the Australian cricket team, maybe in your next press conference you could ask him if he watched the final v India and if he was swept up in the result like the rest of us were, I'm not sure how he'd answer that question, but I'd certainly be interested in how he'd reply to it 😂 In the meantime here's hoping we get a win against Villa and keep in touch with the top 4, and then stun the world with an away win against City the week after. Cheers Alasdair, and thanks, Mark H.

I hate international breaks full stop. What annoys me most is if teams have already qualified for Euros , why play your strongest team? Injuries usually occur. Argentina Uruguay is a huge rivalry that I watched and feared injuries to Romero and Rodrigo B thankfully nothing happened but guess what , Wednesday Brasil v Argentina WC qualifier, that is an even bigger game and rivalry and hope Romero does not get injured as Brasil are struggling. Thanks for the updates AG.

Agree with time limit on var as for cower and obvious errors which I’d take minutes not obvious- before it was introduced all people wanted was goal line technology and off the ball incidents like when a striker would elbow a defender when play up other end of pitch so know one saw it yet all the cameras did - the player would later get a ban but have played the full game - that’s all it was wanted for yet by time came in they butchered it trying to get every decision right and instead ruining the game - obviously as so invested in spurs watch every game but watch lot less football of other games as so irritating with amount of stoppages turn it off

Do we not have the money from the sale of Harry for use in new signings? Does the new stadium not put us in a different position than before it being nearly double the size? Why when fee’s of 80 mil mentioned we are told it’s out of our league after 60 was spent on an unproven ndombele who hadn’t even played in the PL?😊

I don’t think Ali was at the forum. We have spent the majority of the kane money. I would be surprised if he develops into a Bale. For me, he doesnt do what we want, namely go past players, way way to safe and is essentially Davis, namely, cuts back and squares the ball. That maybe because he's nervous about sprinting due to hamstring issues. Perhaps he'll be a different player under Ange, we'll see !!

He definitely has been short changed. Winks and skipp are the only ones to establish themselves from the new academy and if we want to see more 'one of our owns', players who link the whole club together, and are more loyal, then they have to be given a fair chance,
