Hi Ali, Even during the period Sess was playing, he always gave the impression he was playing within himself and afraid to run full speed. His recurring hamstring problem must have affected him psychologically. Sometimes the mental side can take longer to heal than the actual physical injury. Respect for your well justified rant.

We should be behind Sess all the way. It’s not his fault and hopefully he is now fixed. I remember him as a teenager for Fulham. Massive talent and of course still is. He will be back and will shine for Spurs

It just takes a second of reflection to realize that the players are closer to each other than us fans will ever be. Going out of your way to insult and berate players is the same as doing that to Son, Romero and the rest of the team. Spitting on your own face, disgraceful

So sad for sess - but if often the case that have injury in one area that other side of body overcompensates and then get injuries there - usually it’s more noggles so miss week or two and not as serious but 🤞for him that it solves all the issues and even if not with us he gets to have a career and enjoy his football

Albeit horrible and hurtful comments like he’s rubbish and he should be sold, I’ve seen some other imo worse takes on Sess and his terrible situation. Stuff like he’s just sitting on his ass and is parasitic to the club, enjoying his fat paycheck. Like the man enjoys having his dreams shattered constantly, not speaking of the constant pain and frustration it must bring. I’ve been arguing with these morons for the past days and it’s pointless.. some people just seem to lack any shred of empathy. Poor Sess, I hope for the best..
@user-bh6fl4os8n2 ай бұрын
Mate it's all to do with natures natural process. Football has always and will all ways have a percentage of moron fans. It's not difficult to spot them on match days and on social media. They won't know themselves who they are because when you are that thick you don't know what you don't know. Abusing our own club players because they are unlucky enough to get injured is just beyond me and most of us. They are too thick to understand empathy. Best to ignore them but I'm afraid players will see these crass posts.

Thank you for yet another great update . Good that you explained in more detail about Sess's injury situation . Let's hope that this does resolve all his issues as he has been through a lot . He always showed in the past get potential and this has just totally stopped him in his tracks . We are no medical experts so would have to bow down to the people that know on Nusa . Would be a good addition if it comes off . Think all those rides at Disney Paris may have affected your memory 🤔

Thanks for another solid Gold update. Good to hear a progress report for those on loan. Hate the venomous comments fans make about any of the players. It must be very hurtful. I’m hoping Sess has a full recovery and a first rate training plan in place. I must admit, Conte had first rate staff and trainers. What ever regimen Kane was on, it clearly remedied his problems. I’d be interested in learning more about that. Is that an area that needs to be considered-a group of professionals that Ange works with more long-term. Also, considering the plethora of hamstring injuries.

I have sat in the safe standing areas in the South Stand on multiple occasions. It's done well and I think it should move down further into the south stand as it's only really the rows at the top. Not a fan of signing Nusa, especially if we get Champions League next season. I don’t see the point of signing a player two years older than the best young LW talent in the country in Mikey Moore. If we are signing a LW, it should be someone a little older and more established, and could ease the transition into Moore in the future

Hi Ali, two books I think you might enjoy - both about movies - by William Goldman (the screenwriter of Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, The Princess Bride, All the Presidents Men etc). One is “Adventures in Screenwriting”, the other is “Which Lie Did I Tell?”. Both full of behind the scenes insights of the movie biz.

Why does the club not just tell there players to stay away from the internet and social media especially. There will aways be idiots online and we've now seen it time and time again. If these things can effect a players moral then surely it makes sense to protect players from this and just let the clubs handle there social media accounts. Ive never understood why players would put themselves in the firing line especially when u also have trolls from other teams fanbases who will deliberately say things to wind people up an cause offence.

Well said on Sess! As fans and even more as humans we should be supporting him. People that send those kind of messages really need to stop and take a good hard Look at their life and why they feel the need to do it. Personally I think he could really thrive under Ange, be that as a LB or LW. He can defend, cross and knows where the back of the net is.

The aim should be closing the gap, and Antonio Nusa doesn't do it for me. Neto and Kvaratskhelia would be great investments. Yes big money but we can afford it and they'll take us far into the CL. Strike whilst the iron is hot and all the other clubs are worried about PSR

Encouraging that we keep trying to bring young talents from other leagues but I wish we could integrate our youth players more. Some of our players are too good for youth level. We probably will bring one ready to start winger like Neto and another prospect like Nusa or Roony. I’m afraid Santiago will not get a proper chance here.

The only advantage of standing is being able to squeeze more people into a given area. On the downside, it is tiring, your view can be blocked, especially if you are short. As for 'safe', I have a vivid memory of being suddenly carried forward at least 20 feet by a crowd surge at WHL and praying I wouldn't fall and get trampled.

Ali, I completely agree with you on online abuse, it is disgusting and cowardly. However, I take some exception with you saying Sess _had_ to ask people not to [abuse him]. He didn't _have_ to at all and in my experience, that tactic doesn't work. Bullies don't have the social faculties to empathise with their victims and letting them know you're affecting them just makes them do it more. The best method is either empower yourself by laughing it off and mock the abuser for how pathetic they are, or just ignore it entirely. It is the job of the social media companies to stamp this stuff out.

You must know by now Alasdair that the very last people that are considered by the people that organise the match kick off times are the match going supporters. The league is basically there for overseas fans. If the TV companies told the Premier League teams to kick off at 2am because its great for foreign TV then they would.

Cheers big A. Well done for calling out the trolls. Some pathetic so called fans out there. We are all frustrated with sessengon’s injuries, but only because he can add value to the squad. The continual comparison to Anderton too is stupid, did you know anderton averaged 25 games a season vs. Yet romero only played 67 games since 2021, yet no one has a bad word to be said about him because he’s a flare player. Social media is full of plastic, thick fans sadly, looking for cheap gratitude from others. Sorry rant over.
