I like the new Everton stadium. The atmosphere/soul at Tottenhams stadium is excellent. You ought to see the scenes at the back of the South stand. Its essential for Spurs to have lots of other income streams to compete with the oil states ..so well done Levy on that.

I’m a spurs supporter whose second fav side has always been Everton. Always loved away games at the old school Goodison Park. So glad to see Everton’s new ground taking shape, it’s going to be an impressive addition to the premier league. But some of the comparisons to the Tottenham stadium just aren’t true. Spurs had 2 main criteria when it came to the supported experience at the new stadium, 1/ get them as close to the pitch as possible, 2/ make the acoustics the best they could be to ensure a loud atmosphere. Soulless is one thing the Tottenham stadium definitely isn’t !! Although the laws may have changed since the ground was built, the south stand at 35 degrees was the steepest allowed at the time. Bramley dock isn’t world famous - anyone south of Wigan has barely heard of it ….and any yacht travelling there can only be lost ! All that said - it’s going to be a great place to visit, I hope it’s the beginning of a significant up turn for the club.

Bramley Moore Dock itself is south of Wigan. And until the stadium was started, it was part of a UNESCO world Heritage site. I think the new stadium with its amazing setting, will be the best in the UK. It's where I wanted Liverpool to build.

Pmsl. Yatchs getting lost. ? OK the name of the Dock itself could be unknown to most outside the city and quite a few inside it. But its the docks themselves that are world famous. I wonder how many Yatch captains has never heard of the River Mersey. That's all they need to know as it's there. About 50 yards from the water. Very hard to miss it really even for a typical southerner who thinks the country stops north of Watford 😂😂

Love the design, it blends in so well to the Historic surroundings, Everton are even relaying the old railway tracks for effect and links back to the goods trains servicing the original docks. Truly Amazing looking and fully functioning as a place to play football. Can not beat the River back drop. Liverpool skyline, Wirral just across with the Welch mountains of the Snowdonia range in the distance. For me, the best stadium design in the world. Thanks for great video, Vinny. :-) 😊

I'm not sure this is a balanced video. Having been to over 100 stadiums in my lifetime to date I honestly believe Tottenham's ground is the loudest ground I have been too in England -- Celtic V Rangers the loudest (I'm a Cheltenham Town fan btw) ... Palace have The Holmesdale Fanatics, they never stop, but sections of the ground can be quite quiet. Will Everton will have the steepest stands in world football ? - again, I'm not sure that's correct as the South Stand at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is built at a 35 degree angle, the steepest that UK regulations allow, so how can Everton be greater than this ? This video is all hypothetical until you move in -- and granted Everton fans are incredible, love going to Goodison Park. Also to check, how close will the fans be to the goal line - the South Stand at Tottenham Hotspur is 4.98 metres.

Only that one Tottenham stand is at maximum steepness. The entire upper section, and entire south stand are at max steepness, and the 3 lower tiers only 2 degrees lower at 33°. And all 4 stands are as close to the pitch as regulations allow. Tottenhams is the most advanced stadium in the world, a true work of art. But in terms of looks and atmosphere, ours will be superior. I live on the Wirral and it looks unreal across the water

Twice you mentioned "Soulless bowl" So that is soulless like Real Madrid, or Barcelona or Bayern Munich, or Wembley or Athletico Madrid or Inter and AC Milan, OR just about any big stadium on the Planet. You kid yourself that your new ground is different because it has "corners", that is funny. Did you know the Architect calls it a bowl? The new Spurs Stadium has not been "plonked down in North London", some of it is built on the site of the old White Hart Lane, the place where the centre circle of the old pitch was, is marked out in the floor inside the South Stand, so really Spurs haven't moved, how far is Goodison from their new stadium? Have you been to the new Spurs Stadium?, it is the fans that make the atmosphere in a Stadium, NOT the shape of the Stadium, And the Spurs Stadium is definitely not "Soulless". And as for having the steepest stands, that is all fine and well, IF you are a young person, i am a fit and healthy 70 year old bloke, who has sat at the top of the single tier stand at Tottenham, and it was too steep for me, i was wobbling all over the place whenever i stood up, it was the same in the Main stand too, it felt very uncomfortable. So for any older Everton fans, just be careful about where you sit, if the stands at the new Everton Stadium are steeper than those at Spurs, and some people are boasting that it has, it might be a bit uncomfortable for some of you. Still, with all that said and done, i'm looking forward to seeing the new stadium. The location of the new Everton stadium is, i believe, unbeatable. And i wish Everton Football Club, and it's fans all the best of luck for the future. Spurs Stadium, soulless bowl,? my arse.

Don’t think you can compare the stadium to others just yet as it’s not been completed. Building costs are significantly cheaper on Merseyside than what they are in North London. I assume that this video has been produced with an extremely bias view towards Everton. Having never been to Tottenham's Stadium I cannot comment on it's atmosphere, however it certainly looks magnificent & comes across as noisy on televised games. At this stage ( I:e until completion next year ) the only certainty is that Everton's stadium is better positioned , being on the waterfront with amazing views into the city of Liverpool & the river Mersey.

The design of Tottenhams stadium is just a generic bowl like any other, the club even paid for a drummer recently to try and drum up some noise which failed. Many Tottenham’s fans have commented to say it’s sad the new stadium isn’t at atmospheric as WHL. Everton’s new stadium is one of the most unique, ground breaking football stadiums in the world and was built by a world class stadium architect in Dan Meis who is all about the detail. Everton’s stadiums have never been in Everton, it’s barely an area but a small stretch of road that the club was named after. Also, stadium’s don’t have to be compliant to FFP, any cost stadium wise for any club is always a separate entity. Id suggest doing a bit of research next time but thanks for your comment though.

@StadiaStudy mate, your stadium isn't even built yet so not sure why you feel the need to jump the gun and give it the big one. Bowls give the best acoustics and sight lines. The TH stadium isn't even a proper bowl - got the biggest single tier stand in the UK as well as many other unique features. (You're not the only one to build in unique features y'know). If the atmosphere has been lacking, it's been due to the football we've seen under mourinho, nuno and conte. Happily that's changing. Must admit Goodison park has a good atmosphere but when youre always fighting relegation so every match is crucial that's not surprising.

No it capacity can't be expanded with safe standing. 1 to 1 l ratio people to seat still in this country and thats never likely to change. The 62,878 capacity can only be acheived by adding a 3 tier to the 3 sides. This requires lefting the whole roof higher with cranes which can be done simply apparently.

The stadium will have a humongous effect on the pitch for Everton. Just by the fact it will more than double the revenue from Goodison due to the massive increase in hospitality areas. Also the atmosphere will be electric in there. Also financially again, as a new stadium itll have much much lower maintenance costs compared to Goodison which, although i absolutely adore the place, is probably 20 years out of date

Wrong, Goodison park is not being sold just for housing but it will become a community based legacy that will fit in with the other EFC buildings around the ground like the "Mental Health Hub" the House refurbished by the Youth Player for homeless youngsters, a multi-purpose health centre, community-led retail spaces, a youth enterprise zone, office and business facilities and green space which could include a lasting tribute to the Club’s achievements at Goodison Park. You plainly know little about "Everton in the Community" which has been going for years and covers all sorts of work with Veterans, Schools problem children, Dementia suffers etc etc etc they even have and started a charity for the old players who where suffering bad health with injuries and pay for them to have operations (something many clubs around the world have followed) these where players that where playing in the 40s 50s 60s 70s who where on low wages at the time and not looked after by clubs. Talking about bricks EFC have spent over £50 million on restoring the heritage of the old dock ,The Hydraulic Tower, the Old Bollards, the Old Rail Lines and the Old Dock Walls The Old Granite Sets, so a few bricks does not sound much at all. Hence the name "The Peoples Club"

Looks like a hundred others? What other stadium do you know that was basically built on water on the edge of a dock of one of the most iconic, historical waterfronts in the world? With the biggest single stand in English football? With the steepest stands in world football? Made with glass so fans will be able to look out across the water and at the iconic skyline? @@StadiaStudy I'm sure you're excited as an Everton fan, but the you don't go to a football game to look at the view, especially the Liverpool skyline, no offence. That type of thinking comes from america, and maybe it's partly true there because they don't have real fans and their game is boring. (Also the "largest singe stand" thing is a cliche at this point, a few hundred seats more than the next doesn't make much of a difference). The steep stands thing is good, and the stadium will probably be nice, but that doesn't change the fact that Goodison is completely unique with a 130 years of history in it, and this new stadium looks like a lot of others. The Liverpool skyline is one of the most unique in the world. The sight of the the Royal Liver Building (the first ever major construction in Britain) the jewel in the crown, adorned by two Liver Birds, is the city’s signature landmark and Liverpool holds more precious Italian Renaissance Greek Revival and Edwardian Baroque style architecture than anywhere else in the world. This will all be viewable from the skyline bars inside Everton’s new stadium. It’s very ironic you’re saying the “type of thinking comes from America” when it’s a video comparing the new unique Everton stadium to Tottenhams stadium which is basically just a template basic American NFL stadium design. You also made a comment about Everton’s “looking like the others” when in fact it’s Tottenhams that has no unique features. They all follow similar, modern patterns. Anfield has kept its old school shape, like villa park has for example. The atmos at Anfield along with the history that is embedded within its walls is matched only by a small number of clubs based on the amount of clubs there are across the globe. Come on you shouldn't criticized spurs ground because it was not built near water like Everton but in the middle of the housing area that why it's worst.....you need to study geography where north LONDON is?there is no water coast here.yes the stadium was built for football as well as NFL and others event that's why it has two specific fields...and you saying stadium has boring spherical shape like by showing west ham stadium which originally built for commonwealth games which is round both inside and outside even after west ham renovated the stadium for their club plus there is still a lot of space between seats and the pitch. when the hell you saw SPURS stadium round from inside like most round shaped stadium has...its oval shape from outside but from inside it's not. their seats are close to the pitch with huge south stand singing and chanting with the rest throughout the game doesn't seem like soulless to me...and SPURS built their new stadium where their old used to be unlike Everton.... all your points you made in comparison of spurs stadium to Everton stadium are utterly biased cause perhaps you are Everton fan or never been to spurs stadium very often...and btw Everton new stadium is also beautiful there is no doubt about it from neutral fan
